Good to know people agree with violence. I believe in courts and the legal system. Just wonder if we all went around attacking who we thought was to blame for all wrong dealings, who would be left.

I think a lot of people feel powerless and disillusioned with the system. The average person has no recourse. Everyone is being effected because of the greed of a select group of people and most will recoup nothing. I wouldn't be surprised to see some people who aren't as together as most doing a lot worse.

just seen on bbc, icesave the online icelandic bank have stopped all transactions so something going on there and the icelandic pm has come out and i quote said 'the country is bankrupt'

I agree (and I'm being affected by this). I feel powerless because of their greed. People who were left holding homes they knew they couldn't afford when the bubble burst.

The thing that gets me is that the money is still out there and it is available for or pay raises etc.. but it is being hoarded by the elite first class and the super-high us in corporations. My company is still giving their ex-CEO (who was fired) $80,000 (a lot more than what I make in a year) a MONTH for his severance package and it isn't disclosed how long it is for, but it has been well over a year (longer than anyone who actually works and tries to improve the company, who is usually capped off at 52 weeks.

Less money is trickling down to the people ho do most of the spending in the US.

Everyone is leaving out the realtors. It's not just the mortgage brokers or the buyers/flippers. It's also the airhead realtors who were pushing sales whether their customers could afford the homes or not. Don't the realtors have some ethical duty to their customers?

I believe in self restraint and non-violence whenever possible also, but sorry a story about this guy getting punched on a treadmill made me laugh.

Realtors have zero to do with this mess. Only a bank can approve a buyer's financing.

They can deceive buyers into believing a house is worth more than it is. They can over push a sale as well. Happens all the time.

The value of a home is determined by Market Value, substaniated by Comparables that are on the MLS. Realtors are only the go-between in a sale of a home and the Approving Bank re the Mortgage. I stand by my statement. Realtors are not to blame for this mess.

Isn't getting the most you possibly can what sales is all about? The same could be said for domains, they sell for more than they are "worth" all the time but if someone is willing to pay it, why should they be stopped?

doesn't matter what a seller or Realtor say a house is worth...
the BANK / Lender sends out an APPRAISER and they are ULTIMATELY
responsible for the PRICE -- they do NOT have to agree with what the
house has been PRICED at... it's computational comparables that SET
the price... to pay more than appraised value for a house is the
buyers stupidity...
