Madoff halfway clean

Amazing, there is a settlement in the civil suit case:

The Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday announced an agreement with disgraced money manager Bernard Madoff that could eventually force him to pay a civil fine and return money raised from investors.

The partial judgment, which renders permanent a preliminary injunction that froze Madoff's assets after his arrest in December, must be approved by the judge overseeing the case in federal court in Manhattan.

he needs stripping of everything he owns and all his family who no doubt have had a chunk of the proceeds, although no doubt this stench goes high up and he may bring some down with him, so dont be surprised to see him and his family on a charterflight out of the country 'for their safety' of course

It reminds me of a sketch from the Chapelle Show, where they swap the court proceedings of a drug dealer, and a guy accused of insider trading.

Not at all... See, that money is his wife's money. Where she got it from, well, who knows, but surely it was legitimate.

The point is that it'll be just like Pixie Skase (Christopher Skase's wife) who basically took on all the assets just before Quintex fell apart in the early 90s. Then they'll all hope in the private jet and fly to Majorca, where they can't be touched.
