Mccain was 3 blocks from my house today, I did not go even though I could of got free tickets. The cops was downtown, directing traffic as I went to the super market tonight. Now had it been obama or bill clinton, then I would of been there with my cam gear taking photos of them.

Do you even keep tabs of the amount of hatred black folks have for white people? I do. No one speaks about it due to the f'd up "political correctness" bull. Most people I know or regularly come into contact with are black. I am not about to introduce them to you. They are fine people, but still harbor a lot of (as I see it) hate for the white face. In their speeches, reactions and outright loyalty to even the criminal who has shot someone featured in the evening news.

White people in my knowledge has taken long strides to free themselves of the guilt imposed on them for what happened decades ago. Keeping the flame of racism alive benefits a good number of losers in society. Don't get me wrong - racism still exists. But white people do not hold a monopoly on it anymore.

In this world, either you make it or you lose it. I see too many (for my comfort) black folks ***** and moan about things while mired in their grief.

If one stays in school, gets an education, gets a skill set, works hard, does not do drugs, saves enough for their kids, chances are life will only get better.

Get over it folks. You've been here 300 years. How much time do you still need? My black friends won't be pleased. But they have heard from me this before.

My experience with black folks for 20 years is proof enough. People are where they are for a reason. This is not the 1960's.

Either you make it by doing what it takes or you fake it until it breaks. Too many fakers today do all kinds of bullshit in their life and blame it on racism. And these are the very people who really believe Obama is going to make a difference in their lives.

A few years ago we were driving through Hawthorne to look at a car at a dealership, on the way back towards the freeway we stopped at a light with one car in front of us, There must have been 12-14 Blacks lined up on the sidewalk next to us, and for NO reason at all they started throwing wooden sticks at our SUV, cursing at us to get the F*ck out of here. We were helpless, then the light turned green and we left.... We reported it to our insurance, The bill was over $5000 in damage.

When I worked as a cell phone tech in a retail store I've lost count the number of times I was accused of being racist or that someone didn't want some (insert derogatory term for whites) helping them.

• You won't help me because I'm black
• I want a black person helping me
• You don't understand me because I'm black

These comments are just as racist as a racial insult, and I saw it every day but for some reason being racist against whites is OK. I've seen little kids (we're talking 6-9 years old) walk up to me and for no reason shout out a long string of insults (white based) towards me.

But, I see racism flying in all directions on a regular basis. I've been told that people didn't want me to help them because I am not Hispanic. Racism is very much alive and well in the USA, it's just hidden and acceptable towards some people (which IMO is severely hypocritical). Some people shout racism soley based on the color of someone else's skin which, in fact, is a racist accusation.

I agree. Race is such a complicated issue. Everyone has their own good and bad experiences. I don't have data (no one does) on how much every other race hates more than everyone else.

The point I was trying to make was, that giving "Racism" as an excuse for disparity in an individual's success is a cop out.

My parents raised me better to know that. There is nothing easily acquired. And I have to agree that minorities do feel the effects of racism in subtle ways. But why should white people take the brunt of it all? It is not fair. The playing field is as level as it can get.

Today, in America, not succeeding is like saying, I am stupid. Kick my a*s.

I'd rather stick to the thread on why the media bias favors Obama. Because, Obama is just an excuse. They are anti republican. They'd present the same bias if Hillary, Kerry or even Bill Richardson was running for President.

I think they are just too tired of the GOP. They (the media) did the same thing in 2004 and how the Dems were so confident of a Kerry victory. But then, Bush had Rowe. The Dems did not take him into the equation. And they paid the price.

We all need to get back to some facts here, yes there is racism from both and by both whites and blacks. But people shut up about it unless, they are with really good and known friends and family. And it normally with lower income people, whites feel blacks get everything handed to them.

Blacks feels whites get everything handed to them, the truth is our great gov't craps on both lower income whites and blacks. The lady next door to me is black, at first we had a few fights. She more or less was trying to boss me to do stuff, I guess she though I would not do it if asked, but once we both seen we both had it hard on SS.

We got along really good, after we talked we both found we had much in common. Her kid is the same age as my kid, they also have many things in common. I can say that it's easy to like some one, once you get to know them and find many things in common. We both have the same believe systems, and agree on most things about stuff in life.

Most of this racism is because of not knowing each other, our values are much the same that is for sure. We have the same kind of problems, same kind of reviews of the world as well. And I found once the view that one side is treated like crap, while the other side gets all the breaks is not true. It's really easy to like each other, and to under stand where they are coming from.

People need to open their minds, and look at both the good and bad sides. Many times people are very closed minded, and only see the bad with out looking for any of the good. That makes for singling out races, and when people do that it makes for racism. Grouping races is not fair to that group, nor is it fair to the people doing it as they miss all the upside.
