Look no further than Rolling Stone's list of "the 17 polluters and deniers who are derailing efforts to curb global warming." Some of these "climate killers" are obvious, like Oklahoma Senator James "global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people" Inhofe, ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerman, or Fox News head Rupert Murdoch. But some climate villains are a bit more surprising, like former Democratic House Majority Leader Dick Gephart who, it was news to me, "now uses his considerable political clout as a lobbyist for Peabody Energy, the world's largest private-sector coal company." Then there's cuddly investor Warren Buffett, who's been corrupting the climate conversation of late. Tim Dickinson writes:
"[Buffett] has been blasting the president's push to curb global warming — using the same lying points promoted by far-right Republicans...But Buffett, whose investments have the power to move entire markets, is doing far more than bad-mouthing climate legislation — he's literally banking on its failure. In recent months, the Oracle of Omaha has invested billions in carbon-polluting industries, seeking to cash in as the world burns. It shouldn't come as any real surprise that 16 of the 17 "climate killers" are old, white guys rich off of fossil fuels. (The only exception is Mary Landrieu, the Democratic Senator from Louisiana whose campaign's coffers are lined by Gulf oil and gas money.) Read about 'em and weep.

H2FC, are your villains also to blame for the simultaneous warming on Mars or could all this have something to do with a big hot yellow ball?
'Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist Says'

'Those who stand for nothing fall for anything' - Alexander Hamilton in 1978
I read the post and it seems the great majority of world's respected climate scientist don't agree with the Russian space researcher. Here's a few quotes....
Simultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet's recent climate changes have a natural—and not a human-induced—cause, according to one scientist's controversial theory.
Earth is currently experiencing rapid warming, which the vast majority of climate scientists says is due to humans pumping huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. (Get an overview: "Global Warming Fast Facts".)
Abdussamatov's work, however, has not been well received by other climate scientists.
"And they contradict the extensive evidence presented in the most recent IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] report." (Related: "Global Warming 'Very Likely' Caused by Humans, World Climate Experts Say" [February 2, 2007].).
Amato Evan, a climate scientist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, added that "the idea just isn't supported by the theory or by the observations."
I'll stick with the facts from respected climate scientists and let you and the other the skeptics believe what they want.

Thanks for posting this website. Its one that should be read by everybody who concerned about the future of our planet.
I especially like this info from James Hansen, director at NASA's Goddard Institute for space studies.
Crimes against humanity?

The tipping point on global warming is close, according to James Hansen, director at NASA's Goddard Institute for space studies.
In his speech to congress on 23 June, Hansen has issued his strongest warning yet about the state of the climate.
He focuses, at one point, on the CEO's of major companies, singling out Exxon and Peabody in particular. "In my opinion, these CEOs should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature."
The crimes, as we know, are the continued funding of the denial industry, peddling confusion and doubt in the public. This week also saw an new poll in the UK paper, The Observer, pointing out the rise of climate scepticism, which follows an earlier poll in the US saying the same thing. The US poll, though, showed that the rise was amongst Republicans.
That would be the Republicans who are the denial industry's audience.
So again we point to the 23 organisations that Exxon continues to fund. The sooner they stop, the better.
BTW....I strongly recommend the book by James Hansen, "Storms Of My Grandchildren". Its the truth about the coming climate catastrophe and our last chance to save humanity.

I wonder when H2FC will admit error in his beliefs. Seemingly next lifetime as these beliefs seem deeply etched in all posts and don't ever examine the possibilities of other explanations besides his own or a very small group of 'researchers' and 'specialists'
Ironically if we humans face a climate disaster it won't be from the planet warming a couple of degrees - it will be from another ice age.
By the way, polar bears are excellent swimmers and the ice caps continually melt and reform.
Showing a polar bear floating away on a sheet of ice and comparing it to climate change is equivalent to showing footage of Arab men shooting guns in a range and equating it to why the sheeple cannot carry fluids weighing more than 3.5 ounces on an airplane . Simply put, the examples are way out of context.
An insider statistician in Washington has admitted that correlation between any two things can be manifested and indoctrinated into the sheeple superconscious. If it is brought to him to show a correlation of aids causing cancer and/or vice versa, it could be done.
h2fc - I am curious, what is your belief about the American dollar? Where does it come from? how is it made? why does it go up and down?![]()
Notice how H2FC has no anger toward China, the world's second biggest polluter.
Please vote Republican in 2012, America can not sustain another 4 years
of Liberal policies that are fiscally and socially destroying the country..
Now you're surprising me....I gave you more credit for intelligence.
In this quote look at the last five words..."It shouldn't come as any real surprise that 16 of the 17 "climate killers" are old, white guys rich off of fossil fuels".
Just as you don't agree with the majority on MMGW you may not agree that "old white guys" are most likely the ones in this country (USA) who are rich off of fossil fuels....but no matter, they are whether you believe it or not.

And what do the skeptical denier fanatics do?
May I remind you again your credibility or lack thereof for me or anyone/anything else means absolutely nothing to me? I was forced to write you off a long time ago when I realized you don't have what it takes to deal with adverse opinions.

Any thoughts?
You dont consider China a Climate Villain?
Is China is not blocking the fight against MMGW?
Why is it that you never criticize China or push for China to reduce pollution and CO2 emmisions? China and India is what's blocking the US from signing on, is it not? And yet, your problem seems to be with only the USA.
