Michael Vick confronted by a man who is helping rehabilitate one of his dogs

For those who don't know the story, Michael Vick tortured and killed hundreds of dogs in his dog fighting operation. Vick was given a "celebrity" deal, with zero fines and zero time on the animal cruelty charges, and only served a short time in prison for gambling.

The dogs that survived were sent to rescues around the country to be cared for by financially strapped rescue workers while Vick lives in luxury. Many of the dogs STILL are unable to be socialized because they were so brutally beaten, shot, and dropped in acid baths by Vick and his friends years ago.

I would be happy if I got the chance to torture and eventually kill this Michael Vick loser. I can't even type here what I would do to him if I had the chance, as it will make me seem like a psychopath.

As someone who has done breed rescue and worked with many rescue dogs (in and out of my own breed's rescue) anything I'd say about his actions or this video would surely get me banned from this forum. Clearly he hasn't improved his attitude towards the dog and people are OK with him wanted to adopt one for his daughters? F*** no.

So, where was PETA protesting that ceremony? Or, are they too busy harassing people who love their dogs and treat them well as well as do rescue (like us)??

now i ain't saying what he did wasn't wrong, but..

those who can't let it go, don't have any concept of the environment he grew up in


like cockfighting, some grow up with, micheal vick grew up around dog fighting


one becomes de-sensitized to the cruelty of the act

just like the everyday "drive-by shootings"


it gets de-sensitized in the news, used to be frontpage, now moved to page 17

and many of those who commit these drive-bys, get less time in comparison...when you consider a year or two killing for a dog and ten years or less sometimes killing for a human being.

people will feed the skinny dog, but won't give the homeless man a nickle

I agree that people have to ease up on Vick. He should have at least tried to engage in conversation with the man who confronted him or show some concern. But he didn't.
