The second video has very poor lighting. Seems like the cops had no control whatsoever!

It's all about tradition and ceremonials. It's sad that monks fought, however it'd be as if French Catholic monks and Italian Catholic monks fought over who would be best positioned inside St. Paul's grave at the Vatican. The Greek Orthodox head of church (ecumenical patriarch) is "first among equals" when it comes down to the Orthodox Christianity and they have established rights to the tomb of Jesus since the Byzantine era.
Maybe I should turn ix8ys.com into the official MFA site (monk fighting association)![]()
Holy sh!t
If you watch the second video there is an interview with the passive Greek monk that got clocked by the guy in red. He looked like Jesus... oh the irony.![]()

In a nutshell, tradition gives the Greek Orthodox monks access rights to the ceremonies performed in the so-called tomb of Jesus. It's the same spot where each Easter, the priest "miraculously" receives the holy light and passes it on to others that then spread it around millions of faithful around the world. The Armenian Orthodox denomination monks acted in a manner inconsistent with tradition. Apparently, they wanted "change" like Obama![]()

Ya I wonder if they really think, that fighting in such a place is respectful to god.
