That's interesting, because i have some U.S. friends who now live in Canada...this is what they said about U.S. healthcare
"In Canada you go to the emergency and you wait in long lines...in the U.S. you wait in the same long lines except they take money from you"
We did have record turnout... for Obama. Many people voted for a 3rd party candidate and most likely many Republicans and conservatives stayed home, many loyal Hillary Clinton supporters stayed home etc...
If you have good health insurance, it's not really like that... But I know what you mean.

NC had not been tallied in that total (add at least 4 Million).

I will agree that Republicans were not energized with McCain, I know I wasn't, It really makes me wonder if the RNC or others in his own party tried to convince him NOT to run... They've done this before with other potential candidates, when they feel it will hurt their chances of winning. Pat Buchanan is a good example.
