Yes, anyway you look at it and no matter what side of the fence you are on the simple fact that one weather pattern affects global weather can not really be disputed.

El Nino, La Nina, Jet Stream, Gulf Stream...all of these are patterns and affect weather greatly.

For instance, the most recent snow.

What might appear as a half inch or inch on the monitor may mean the difference between no snow and 1-2 feet.

Most recently, it was like Interstate 40 was the dividing line on this storm. Those north of 40 got nothing and those to the south of 40 got 6+ inches.

A couple of years ago, same pattern - a dustng at my house. Went to pick up a co-worker who said he couldn't get out of his driveway. By the time I got there the snow was up to my front bumper on the truck - a GM2500 4wd which is higher than most from the factory. It just got deeper and deeper.

In the DC area, some places reported as much as 3 inches of snow per hour.

Wind, wet, dry, snow, rain, drought -

all of it is affected by one another globally.

Winter Olympics? Pretty soon they'll be truly global and played at the Poles.

We got 24 inches this last storm here in PA, but we also had one of the warmest winters so far with them calling for a early spring. As far as I can tell this winter should be going with the warming trend, record snow fall does not mean record cold at all, in most cases record snow fall means warmer weather crossing into cold fronts. Like the 60 degree weather we had in the 2nd part of last month, jan getting warmer and warmer last summer we had lots and lots of rain as well.

We are having big temps ups and downs in some cases dropping 30 degrees, from day to night temps but this is with in keeping with the advanced global warming model, the south USA will see droughts and wildfires more and more and the north. Will have more and more warmer weather and rain, the south will be less and less able to grow crops while the north will be able to grow more and more crops.

The line use to be much more south but has moved to here in PA, the first round of snow philly got tons of snow and we had very little of it, this time around we got 24 inches but a little north of us got much less. I can see that when we use to get snow, we are now getting rain like we did last month it's getting more and more like that here in PA.

    Edited In:

I found the whole history of the advanced computer modeling, be warned though it's history is very long so it take a while to read it all. But it shows just how good and most of all the experts and in all kinds of fields, work has been used and how much they keep working on the model. Instead of reading the IPCC report that uses this data and models, you can see where it comes from and why most all experts agree MMGW is real.

That all said, argue all you want. These threads are getting rediculous and only bringing out the ugly in some. I'm a part time nature photographer and a good friend of mine has been photographing glacier national park for over 30 years. He has witnessed the glaciers decrease there year after year and today there just about gone.

Road Trip Montana : Glacier National Park ~ Climate Change Interview with Park Ranger > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ6hJOl67HA

The globe is warming, the weather and climate are changing. Is it really that hard to believe? I personally never really thought about it til a couple years ago when it was christmas eve day and it was 65 degrees outside. I believe that was 2005 or 06' I forget. But ever since then it seems the winters are getting longer, colder, snowier and its obvious to me anyway somethings going on with the weather. Just this last year we were hit just about every week with a low pressure system coming from the west coast across america into the northeast, it rained atleast once a week and sometimes for days. Now its winter and it hasnt stopped, alot of rain early on but now snow storm after snow storm. Just had 3 blizzards in the last 30 days setting an all time record of 71.3 inches of snowfall for philadelphia in one winter with 4 to 8 inches coming tomorrow and yet another system on the radar for next weekend.

Someone tell me this, WTF is going on with the weather if its NOT global warming causing it? Polar bears are drowning, glaciers are melting, ice shelfs the size of road island are breaking off drifting out to sea, I'm buried up to my hips in snow with a busted back from shoveling snow and theres thousands of dead fish floating in the florida keys and lizards falling out of trees.

I dont care what anyone says, I can see plain as day with my own two eyes somethings going on.

That's probably why you don't know that

    1. polar bear levels are increasing, at their highest levels in 30 years: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/c...-warmists.html

    2. The ice between Canada and southwestern Greenland has reached its highest level in 15 years.

    3. global sea ice levels now equal those seen 29 years ago

Like I said in my last response to one of your posts, freek weather occurences have been happening since time began. While each one happens we think there must be a reason for it, and because we have been fed this mmgw crap for years, most people assume it must be the cause. What about every freek weather occurance from 200 years ago? 201 years ago? 555 years ago? What did the people blame then; witches? Dragons?

Glaciers. Glaciers have been melting ever since they were formed. Most glaciers melted away over the last few thousand years. What, do you think they only started melting since the industrial revolution?

MMGW is no more than another government sponsored protection racket - a raft of stealth taxes introduced and not a murmer from the masses. Brilliant really. You just have to ask yourself, what's happening to all that new tax money - is it going on building the neccessary defenses to protect the worlds major cities from what they tell us is inevitable? Er, no. It just goes into the pot to prop up irresponsible bankers and pay for more wars (how green is that eh, a war on the other side of the planet?).

Hasrob - you're eyes have beenb opened to 9/11 - this mmgw crap really isn't much different.

As for the weather you're getting, maybe El Nino?

I don't think we need to worry too much about glaciers, they do grow as well as shrink (links below).

A dozen glaciers (or groups of glaciers) around the world that are growing almost as quickly as global warming skepticism

    New glaciers found:

And in the news today again, are any alarmists receiving this?: NO WARMING FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS:
