Why would a large news corporation like MSNBC suspend anybody for calling the President a "Dick" that was NOT supposed to be aired?
Politico; "The incident took place during the “Morning Joe” show, when host Joe Scarborough asked Halperin what he thought of Obama’s press conference and Halperin questioned whether the seven-second delay was in effect so he could give his real opinion — apparently thinking it would be bleeped out before hitting the air. Scarborough told Halperin to go for it because they would use the delay to prevent whatever he said from being broadcast. “You fall down, I’m going to catch you,” Scarborough told Halperin"
Leave it to a back stabbing prick like Joe Scarborough to stab one of his own in the back, He's a quite a guy that Joe, but so are all the rest of the MSNBC staff.
This is MSNBC's response to Halperin's comment;
"We apologize to the president, the White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse, and comments like these have no place on our air."

Your network refers to then President George Bush as a "Murderous Fascist" and tells him to "Shut the hell up" and you consider that a "high level of discourse"? Where was Keith's suspension when he made these statements on the air? or the dozens of other provocative comments intended to boost ratings? hmm?
We all know MSNBC is in bed with Obama and the Democrats, but isn't this taking it a bit too far? One thing is for certain, if Mark Halperin had said this about any Republican, he would of received PRAISE, NOT a suspension, that's for damn sure.

I personally don't agree with the unprofessional stuff like this from either side Republic or Democrat...but the way this statement came to be aired to the public was wrong,...he was tricked into it saying it by the two hosts and those two hosts should take partial or even full blame for this issue as well. Yes, the guy who made the statement was dumb, but he did refuse muti times to speak out but they insisted he do it and told him he was totally safe since they have a 7 second delay and it would be bleeped out. The prompting by his peers plus the promise of bleeping it out...so he did it cause the moment was light and silly and he was trying to be funny with his colleagues. (Almost like a prank, a prank gone wrong)

*For the record I don't know any of the host or the guy who made the statement...just saw the whole clip and how he was set up/tricked into saying the comments out loud.

Apparently it's become very selective in who can say what about who and how they can say it.
I'm not a fan of either party but I can remember the democrats calling Bush all sorts of off color
names and there even being a movie made about Bushes assassination. Not a single democrat
was "outraged" by those things. More than not ... they participated in the name calling. I could
only imagine how insane some people would get with the name calling and accusations if a movie
with similar subject matter was made swapping out Bush for Obama. The sky would be falling.
I am not saying that calling the president a "dick" was the appropriate way to express the dissatisfaction
with his and his admins performance. It could have been done much more tactfully. But are we as Americans
not allowed to state our opinions of our leaders performance.
I thought there was freedom of speech allowed in the US ... apparently this "freedom of speech" is still
