Gee if you lived in the UK you would know that the 'BBC' is considered anything but independant and impartial, it is very left wing and politicized. Steps are finally afoot to actually make the BBC act up to its charter - and boy is that annoying the millionaire left wing senior reporters and staff!

I doubt whether any news organization can be both truly independant and impartial, after all they are staffed and run by humans, but one has to wonder how the BBC was allowed to become so 'left' leaning. Oh and by the way I speak as a liberal (small 'L') Conservative.

My grandpa and my father in egypt used to listen to BBC radio at times of wars or attacks against christians or church and it was like a flower in desert with no other channel or radio station to believe or to know what is really going. it was time when it was difficult to know the truth in 1970s.

Nowadays after internet and tv satellites, We were shocked of BBC , it was like aljazeera especially the arabic version, only broadcasting islamic issues, defending islam and ban anything else. We do not watch BBC anymore. they are like most channels, looking for numbers of viewers rather than the truth!.
