I'm not siding with Mubarak, I want Egypt to have a Free Democracy just as you do.. But in order to achieve it, what is wrong with keeping Mubarak in power just until the elections are over and a new President is sworn in?.

And I'm not trying to tell you what to do Gee, but don't you think it would better if the issues facing your new Government were combined in one thread?... It would be a lot less confusing.

Personally I don't mind it (but fab is right - try to keep it in a few threads ). Today's world we can talk to someone living in a (for the lack of a better term) revolution and hear about it first hand and not just the chewed up (biased) bits and pieces that the news feeds us here.

10-15 years ago we would have heard very little about this and I'm sure the protests would have been squashed on day one. The internet let people get their word out quickly and easily and even with it turned off there was still a lot of organization. We even see videos of Anderson Coper with a flip camera taking videos from the protests themselves (and that camera costs under $200 for a good one!).

The internet and the ability to quickly get videos and stories out prevented this from becoming another Tienanmen's Square. This is a lot closer to what happened in eastern Europe in 1989 (Berlin Wall falling, Velvet Revolution, etc..). Now protests have been reported in Bahrain, Yemen, and even Lybia. A regime like the Brotherhood would have no problems opening fire on protesters just to silence them.
