I agree with David Frum.....but why didn't he publish this BEFORE the deal was made?

I have read a couple of his books, occasionally read his blog, enjoy watching and listening to him on the Sunday Talk shows and great guest for Bill Maher.
To understand the damage done by this manufactured crisis, this is a must read article no matter the party affiliation. It is insightful and deals with the debacle in a clear manner well written and constructed for anyone to understand.
My takeaway from this is there are no winners and the clear loser is the American economy and people along with any hopes of an economic sustainable recovery. The other takeaway is the "Party of No" is on a hellbent mission to totally destroy the image of the President, all the while destroying their individual selves, the party, and the country's ability to right itself.

It would not have mattered one bit.
And I am sure that David will now be labeled a liberal for his views.
Some people (a la Frum and me) do not walk that party line nor do we talk-the-talk from our daily scripture and we do not abide by the think-speak of the party.
If our elected officials are so concerned about their image(s) rather than do what's right, they do not need to be in DC. To think that they are more interested in representing the party than the populace spells doom, doom, doom.
Honestly, we need term limits on these dicks in Congress.
I'm not so sure about it not mattering one bit. I think its a very good desciption of the tea party republicans stance against Obama and everything he stands for...the good as well as the bad. They are willing to destroy America if thats what it takes to unseat him. If this article had hit the headline news everywhere the great and I mean GREAT majority of the people would have come out a lot stronger against the tea party plan.
So what if David Frum is labeled a liberal by one third of the Republicans? I suspect he will be happy with the other two thirds Republican support for most of what he's saying....and at least 90% support from the Democrats.
this crisis was just as critical as the wmd's in iraq

What do you mean "debacle"? This is pure genius!
A super congress! Twelve party hacks who always "get their ass in line" will decide who gets sodomized. This will attract donations from the job creators by the truckload.
And you thought your government was broken.
