They left out the part where Co2 is a dangerous pollutant in larger concentrations and in fact is the main trigger for the human body to increase the breathing rate. While its true Co2 in smaller concentrations is necessary for the human body, exposure to a concentration of just 5 or 6% may be enough to cause severe headaches and suffocation. Prolonged exposure at 5% could result in irreversible effects to health. Prolonged exposure at > 6% could result in unconsciousness and death.
