I like Chomsky. in any debates i've seen he's very cool, calm and matter of fact, whereas typically his opponents come off all hot under the collar, looking like the idiots they generally are. Alan Dershowitz springs to mind

Chomsky even called it that the US would be beating its war drums for Iran next after Iraq, before the mainstream media machine had even finished spinning its yarn about Iraq leading up to the March '03 invasion. In a nutshell, the basis for his insight was that you don't go publishing a report like the PNAC document, basically a mission statement, without the intent to act on it.

I agree that Chomsky does get a little Michael Moore-ish at times, but his understanding and grasp of American foreign policy is nonetheless impressive. I've learned a lot listening to his lectures, and find his perspective thought provoking.

Noam Chomsky has nothing on Coulter. She is in a class of her own for being a down right scary evil person. Here are some of her more infamous quotes dripping with hate:
