Obama with an aggregate 7.9 point lead over McCain

The RealClearPolitics.com website (a Republican leaning site) now gives Barack Obama a 7.9 points aggregated national lead in the polls (Link).

More importantly with an a score of 50.4 this is the highest score that site has ever recorded for Obama (previous highest was 50.2 on 10/14/2008). In comparrison McCain records a score of just 42.5 and his trajectory is definately southwards pointing.

On a scan of the national polls listed it will be seen that Obama scores 50 points or more in 12 of the 16 polls, McCain can only reach 46 points in 2 of the 16 polls.

It is now obvious why so many of the hierarchy within the GOP are now contemplating something akin to annhilation on November 4.

Yes, the campaign is over: Obama IS winning the election. I'm really glad that the WORLD (not just the U.S.) is finally seeing the light. The unnecessary war will end, and humanity will stand once again.

Yes, all children born named Hussein should be put to death. They are evil. Saddam Hussein was such a global threat to the US and the World in 1961.

Oh, wait a minute. That was a different global threat then. My God, imagine the flack if his middle name had been Nikita or Lenin or Stalin.

His mother must have been a voodoo witch to be able to look that far into the future and name a child after a power hungry wacko.

Stock post, who are you trying to kid, but anyway if you want to use Barack Obama's middle name that is up to you, but you do yourself no favours at all in the eyes of the majority of members here or the majority of Americans I am sure.

Anyway, an update, as the national polls are now in for today the only movement has been a slight downward slip for McCain, now polling just 42.4, that is down 0.1 on the day, and Obama's aggregated lead stretches to 8.0 points with just 9 days left.

The main news of course is the split (as reported on CNN as well as other sources) and that the McCain/Palin ticket is in free fall schizm, with Palin being referred to as a 'Diva' by many in the McCain campaign. With just 9 days to go this does not bode well for a strategic comeback for McCain.
