I have to say that putting faith in a politician is usually a bad idea. Most of the time they go back on their word which Obama has done on several issues already.
Will see whether he has what it takes to get this country moving again...so far I am unimpressed.

At least 50 people in my office are streaming the videos (no wonder I'm lagging). Supervisors demand that their employees work and not watch it, then go into their offices, close the door, and watch it.

What I can't get over is spending $160 Million (that is the figure I heard) on a big celebration when the world is in a recession...
That is a days of prep work, security forces, and anything else you can think of.
50 policemen from my hometown have been contracted to augment the DC police.
I think I heard, in total, 30,000 policemen and security.
This is the largest crowd gathered in one spot at one time.

I love the guy but he royally screwed up on the oath of office, he couldnt remember the second verse and the guy had to repeat it as Obama bumbled it out...lol
You can tell he was nervous during the pledge....his speech is as solid as ever though.

Oh I realize what it entails, I am just not big on celebrations ;-)
But seriously, to really send a message he should have told everyone to stay home and no VIPs should have been invited and the whole thing would be him and his family with the vice president and it all would have been broadcast on TV and on webcam...
