MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF STATE

SUBJECT: Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related to Gaza

By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 (the “Act”), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed 20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs , including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.

You are authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

Basically the $22 million going to Gaza is a drop in the bucket compared to the BILLIONS of $$ in damage recently inflicted by Israel on Gaza:

I agree, a very shallow attempt to extend an olive branch towards a nation and its people that do not have a formal recognized country.

we should not help them out.

The US dollar is not quite worth the paper it's printed on, so I'd say he gave too little to the Palestinian refugees. What's needed is medical supplies, food & water, shelter and other humanitarian assistance.

The United States shouldn't be giving aid to people who support terrorist organizations. Hamas is 100% responsible for the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza strip. Maybe they can use some of that blood money they receive from other countries in the region to help out with the problem they themselves created.

Why would I want to see the terrorists point of view? and yes I loop in the Palestinians with other terrorists because they have same goal...... the destruction of Israel. You can't negotiated with someone who wants to destroy you.

These so called terrorists aren't in the same league at all. The whole conflict is the UN's fault. Why thought they could displace an entire race of people just because they "stole" the land 1000 years ago is beyond me. By that logic American Indians should be able to kick all Americans from their land. I guess in todays world Americans would of been viewed as terrorists by the British as well. Get a brain.
