During a most awkward time for the US involving recession, war in Afghanistan, and the nuclear crisis in Japan, President Obama has the following leads over his main Repug contenders for the 2012 election.
Huckabee - Obama +5
Romney - Obama +5
Gingrich - Obama +11
Pawlentry - Obama +14
Palin (or should that be FailingPalin) - Obama +15
It seems that the Repug dreams of ending up in the White House following November 2012 are but day dreams at the moment. One thing is for sure the Repug 'Tea Party' is not one many Americans want to attend by the looks of it.
I wonder who will be the Repug front runners for their attempt in 2016?![]()

Republicans just aren't Republicans anymore. Abe, Teddy and Eisenhower would all be Democrats by today's standards. Obama will demolish any GOP candidate and make the Tea Party weep
Doc Com unfortunately I have to agree with you, it will be the same old faces with not a new idea between them. I mean you would have thought that even the idiots in the Tea Party faction would have realised that under present circumstances they should have been clear of Obama in the polls. Instead Obama is gathering momentum and the Repugs are loosing ground. Somehow I do not think two years ago this is the scenario that Repugs thought would exist at this stage of the present Presidency.
Info I totally agree, but the thing is that the Repugs just do not seem to have the calibre of potential leaders in their ranks today.

The Republicans hoped stroking the passions of the Tea Party and the nationwide discontent with the crippled economy would be enough to weave a strategy to trump Obama in the polls. As they are starting to figure out, it ain't a walk in the park.
You guys are celebrating a little soon with the usual and mutual hand job.
Obama's going to get his ass kicked over the rest of his term.
He may not want to play president anymore.

Trump is a self-important ego maniac. The U.S. needs high caliber leadership. Trump scores a C- in itegrity as well.
No President in history has been more ineffective than Obama. If the Republican party can't find a viable candidate to fill that void, then the country is in serious trouble.

I'd say this poll is about as meaningless as the one that had Trump in the lead.
And guess what? All these polls PLUS the one shown in the OP were conducted by "Public Policy Polling", which had Trump leading all Republicans just under a month ago, They now have Trump in 5th place;

Trump’s 2012 polling plummets

This just goes to show how meaningless these surveys are, It's WAY to early to be doing any polling at this point... Most Americans don't know the candidates and don't know what the positions are on the most important issues, Once this get out, it's going to be a whole different ball game.
Regardless of who the Republican nominee is, it's going to be quite entertaining watching the debates, Watching Obama being raked over the coals when he's forced to answer for his dismal and reckless performance of the last 4 years.
Please vote Republican in 2012, America can not sustain another 4 years
of Liberal policies that are fiscally and socially destroying the country..
