I am no Obama supporter guys as many of you know. I think maybe reading to much into this statement.

He is probably talking about an American form of Peace Keepers, since many Americans feel that the current peace keepers of joint countries is not good enough.

This can also possibly lead to an exit strategy of Iraq, pulling out troops and replacing them with our American peace keepers

He said that? I think this is about more than peace-keepers. Besides, how would replacing one U.S military unit for another acomplish anything? We already have a security force and the ultimate peace-keeper. The very fact that a so-called peace-keeping force is usually comprised of many nations conveys an air of neutrality, making it more effective and acceptable to the involved parties. A completely U.S force would be contrary to that logic.

By the way, we will not pull all the troops out of Iraq. Because of national security, we will maintain a presence. Any candidate that says otherwise is a liar and a fool.

What Obama is suggesting here is highly radical and controversial. Any "security force" I have ever seen has weapons at its disposal as an option. I think that at this point he believes his supporters will buy anything he throws at them, even his re-definition of "security force".

And that they would only need to is spend some time, working in such a civilian national security force and others stuff.

It's amazing just how frightened you are. Your lives are literally governed by fear. It's as though without fear, your lives would be meaningless. I feel sorry for you - lose the fear and you will see how to create a better existence for yourselves.

From being babies, we have fear shoved down our throats; "don't do this, don't do that, stay away from..." etc etc. Fear is the major motivator for many people, but it shouldn't be - because it's the cause for virtually all that is bad.

I wish it were that simple but I think you have it all wrong tas....they do hear it all and they understand it all but they choose to rephrase, pick, and post selected parts out of context to support their own misguided opinions. They never post the complete message as Obama intended because it would not support the far right republican cause.

The republicans are just upset that no one pays them any mind anymore, bush has to take meds to help him deal with being a lame duck. They need to remember that once you lie, then every time you make cliams, people research the facts and know you are lieing.

Just for the sake of argument, let's assume carbon emissions are to blame, (which their not) How are you going to get developing countries like China and India to comply? To do what were doing?

In order for it to have any impact, it must be a joint effort by the very countries who are emitting the most greenhouse gases.
