Sad. I saw this earlier this morning.

I saw another vid tonight obviously taken by someone in the crowd about perhaps 20 feet back. This showed the initial attack and jumping of the kid.

Very Disturbing. I feel sorry for the kids today that have to experience this sort of thing. I cannot remember anything even remotely similar when I was in school.

Come one once again you are way off Chicago is just as dangerous as any big city in America so you should say that no American city should hold the Olympics. This was a bad crime yet bad crimes happen every day....the security for the Olympics is high everywhere. Crimes happen in foreign countries also this should have nothing to do with the Olympics. America thrives on sports and sporting events America needs this, probably one of the few times I support Obama doing something for the country.

Downtown and the northside are almost like a different country compared to the southside.

how about he is doing it so that the "United States of America" will be able to host the 2016 olympics.

but the sad part is, even if he was doing it for credit and chicago won.....you probably wouldn't give him the credit afterwards

police patrols are on every other block in the Loop and the northside

but on the south and west sides, police don't show up until after bodies are laying in the streets


even going from the southside to the westside, is a whole different experience

as is, chicago is STILL one of the MOST racially divided major cities in the country


i know the area where this incident took place


did any of you know that micheal jordan's wife Juanita, went to Fenger

did any of you know that White people used to live in Altgeld Gardens

when whites leave, so do the services and support for the community

sure it was a tragedy, everyday tragedies happen in the hood, but only a few make the headlines.

but one thing for sure, black men will ALWAYS make the local news, when there is a crime

their faces will ALWAYS be on front page on local news papers

...and this follows many previous celebrities previous visits - Oprah and Michelle Obama comes to mind.

As a congressman representing that state, there is a great possibility Obama would have made the trip in that capacity.

Pitching your city, state, country is nothing new at all.

The only issue is the fact that someone(s) want to make it an issue.
