Polish president Kaczynski dies in plane crash

Just read that the Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, along with several other Polish politicians was in a plane accident this morning with no survivors. My condolences to the victims.

That is strange, we have gathering at the Polish embassy and couple of places in Budapest for the victims. I never liked the "brothers" but I feel sorry for the people on the plane. I'm quite sure it was an accident.

According to a Norwegian newspaper the pilot ignored flight control and attempted to land in Smolensk, when they were actually told to land in Minsk or Moscow. They attempted to land three times and on the forth attempt the plane crashed. Normal procedure is to cancel landing if the second attempt fails.

I don't really understand you guys. Why assuming it was not an accident? It was an old Tu 154 plane, if you flew with it (I did couple of times), you know how crap it is. Kaczynski has tried to force the pilot on previous flights to land - when it was not possible. Poland - Russia relationship is improving - Putin was the first leader to attend the Katyn forest ceremony, which remembers the massacred Polish POWs by the Russians.

what's oddest about it is how all these dignataries were on the same plane
navy, army heads, family, president etc
to my knowledge that is against all protocols, certainly for other countries
was the pilot Russian? kidding
the royal family in the UK never travels all together for this simple reason, if there's an accident they all get wiped out
although 'royal' families always go to any length to make sure they survive and cling on to their privileged lives. bung them all in a portacabin in croydon i say

They were all in route on the ceremony honoring 20,000 polish officers being killed by the Russian during WWII (75th anniversary?).

It is my understanding that they were to be rerouted to Minsk or somewhere else but the pilot was insistent that they land in Katyn. Most likely, the information to be rerouted to another airport was passed onto the president. Someone made the decision to land the plane.

At any rate, the black boxes have been recovered and will tell the tale of this error. I do believe it was human error (of judgment)

Polish highest level dignitaries fly to Poland on a Russian plane in order to attend a ceremony in Russia honoring Poles massacred by Russians, and they are all killed in a "plane crash" on Russian soil just before landing? Doesn't sound like anything close to a simple accident.

According to Radio Host SPACEMAN which airs on 640am in Toronto at late hours.... he says that the plane was serviced in russia 6 months ago and that the pilot did nothing wrong, the plane's computer system was override by the Russians and murdered.

I switched to 640am to listen to sports highlights and SPACEMAN was talking, learned about this on my way home (10 minute car ride) - he kept on going and going on about how the plane was serviced by the Russians and how they must have installed override computer parts for this occasion.

I guess some people get paid to come up with these conspiracies!
