It can be done with a simple colon followed by Capital Letter D, no space between characters.

Hope, I'm sure I've seen that version before in one of my nightmares.

All I can see is that he looks a little cross.

Ah, I got it by pasting the IMG address into the browser. Cute. Reminds me of an old boss of mine from years back.

Well, I suppose it means we're all done, lol.

But I don't mind. It's better than some of the stuff that inspired me to start the thread in the first place. Thanks to everyone who contributed, and those who taught me how to do a real emoticon laugh.

to me, those type of "introductions" into what was starting out to be a decent thread, turn the thread into comedy

takes away from the serious concern or intent of the thread

when members start using bold face fonts and super sized letters to draw attention, it only serves as a distraction....while drawing attetion to one's inability to engage in conversation at the same level/tone as the others.

it's why many times you can't have a flow-thru thread that stays on topic with meaninful contributions from all who participate.

some need to grow-up, not just in age but in maturity

it's just how i see it

    imo...

I know how you feel, Don. The trouble is, when there's a vacuum in a discussion it's natural for such posts to appear. They wouldn't be able to if there were a strong debate going on. You have made the effort to contribute but, considering the membership of the forum, not too many others were interested enough to. At least those who introduced the more comic elements were trying, don't you think?
