Rasmussen Reports

I found this site http://www.rasmussenreports.com/ to be very interesting, I'm wondering if it's considered to be reliable. Would like to hear both Liberals and Conservatives.

It's often quoted as a credible source by the MSM, so at the very least it's well financed. If you want my personal opinion, unless it's scribbled on a napkin lying on a wet sidewalk, I generally wouldn't believe it. It's a big step outside the circle of vested interests.

The site is OK. A lot of people believe their polling data is some of the best. I personally don't trust polling data as a reliable source of what people think. Most polls are a snapshot in time of how people feel and doesn't mean that they will feel the same way 6 months or a year from now.

Rasmussen had it very close with Bush/Kerry in 04

I'm curious why your asking since the election is far away... anything can happen from now until November 4th.

Fab, it is an OK site, though in recent Primary contests they seem not to have been that good.

Have you chcked out RealClearPolitics.com yet?

Yes, I saw that, and was quite impressed about the articles, didn't really notice that they have large amouints of stats as well.

Oh darn! I missed all the drama... Anybody have the transcript?

RealClearPolitics as Billbo pointed out is a good site, Here they have combined polling from all the pollsters.... Obama leads in almost all the polls, but you have to keep in mind that one debate can turn this whole election around, that's why I dont like looking at these... Still way too early to call.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...obama-225.html

Does anyone know if candidates hire out pollsters to conduct polls for themselves? Always wondered if they did or not.
