News reports were all over the place yesterday, with all sorts of inaccurate information.
I recall hearing about it on the news, and reading it online.
I don't want to invest a lot of time into researching this today, because it's simply not that important to me.
After a quick search, it looks like a page was removed for whatever reason, but was cached by Google.

If you are referring to the Dead to Me BS, if you read it carefully the person who supposedly penned it talks about being a big supporter and talked her into running - in 2002.
The shooter would have been 14 years old at the time. I sincerely doubt a 14 year old would have much political clout or influence to convince someone to run for public office.
The only thing GLP has shown me is there is a collective place for nutjobs. That's good to know there is someplace else for DNF members can hang out once the Political BS is banned.

I've been watching the news, listening to the news, on several forms - television, online, etc.
It's a real damn shame you don't want post a reliable source for the information that was so important to you at the time you posted your statement, a mere 4 hours ago.
As for the Bullshit source you did post, I have already shown by simple math that if people were to read it, Jared would have been 14 at the time in 2002 when he "encouraged" her to run for congress if he was the one who originally penned that piece.

Given his political ramblings about the Constitution, the creation of a personal currency, and government control of grammar as a form of mind control and brainwashing, it could be that his political ideology might be some hybridized confluence of various political ideas and theories
On top of that, he was kicked out of college and rejected by the Army.
I did in fact read all of his postings on his YouTube channel. I can only wonder when he started developing these strange strategies for currency, etc. Bizarre does not adequately describe some of them. They do show some perhaps philosophical influences, perhaps from college courses he managed to take and complete.
I'm sure in time someone will (illegally) post his classes schedule along with his grades.

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik is extremely unprofessional. He looks like a typical political hack. He is compromising the investigation and prosecution by characterizing the suspect as "unbalanced" and with "mental issues."
His other remarks are offensive as well.
What ever happened to professional law enforcement who focused on the FACTS --and left the rest to the pundits, journalists, and courts?
And, who is Dupnik to invalidate a law or refuse to enforce it?

This shooting is tragic and it's sad that it was politically motivated.... But what's also sad and downright pathetic is how the poster, being the narcissistic dirtbag that he is, chose to make the comparison to fellow members and an entire party, when they really have no relation.
I feel horrible for the Families of the dead and injured, the 9 year old girl who was killed and 5 others, What their families are going through must be horrific... I pray for the full recovery of Gabrielle Giffords and all those injured in this senseless and cowardly act.

CNN now reporting that NO State or Federal Judge in the State of Arizona wants to handle this case. All Arizona judges have all recused themselves.
A judge from another state will have to come in to hear this case.
Perhaps for the best.

It will be almost impossible to find an impartial jury in that state - they'll most likely need to move it to a different state.

For the Federal Charges, perhaps they can move it out of state. The Judge who was killed, the congresswoman's aides killed, the attack on the Congresswoman and her aides are all Federal Charges.
All other charges (those of murder and injury) to the citizen's of Arizona most likely will have to be tried in the state of Arizona.
I think it may be quite an education for those political and law junkies watching this from start to finish, to include the public defendent who defended Ted Kasinsky (Unabomber), whether an insanity plea will be made, and so on.
Aside from the tragedy of this horrific event, it sounds like it could have been worse. Jared dropped another loaded high capacity magazine on the sidewalk and a 61 year old woman grabbed it.

TUCSON, Ariz. – One of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' doctors declared Tuesday she has "a 101 percent chance of surviving," as she made more progress, moving both arms and breathing on her own for the first time — just three days after a bullet shot through her brain.
Doctors emphasize she is in for a long recovery, and her neurosurgeon repeated his cautionary phrase of "she's holding her own."
But there was no denying what was clearly good news.
Giffords, a three-time Democrat, remains in critical condition at Tucson's University Medical Center where she was operated on Saturday after being shot during a meeting with constituents outside a Safeway supermarket. The attack killed six and injured 14 others. Six remained hospitalized.
Giffords' improvement has been incremental, but impressive. Doctors previously reported she raised two fingers of her left hand and gave a thumbs-up when responding to verbal commands. Now they say she is moving her arms.
"She has a 101 percent chance of surviving," said trauma chief Dr. Peter Rhee said. "She will not die. She does not have that permission from me."
She also can breathe on her own but still has a breathing tube in place as a precaution, said her neurosurgeon Dr. Michael Lemole.
In their briefing Tuesday, doctors also reversed themselves in describing the path of the bullet. They now believe she was shot in the forehead, with the bullet traveling the length of the left side of the brain, exiting the back.
Doctors previously thought she had been shot in the back of the head. They came to the new conclusion after reviewing X-rays and brain scans and consulting with two outside physicians with experience treating combat victims.
The brain's left side controls speech abilities and the movement and sensation of the body's right side. Giffords' doctors will not speculate on the potential for long-term disabilities. But she is lucky the bullet did not cross into both sides, or hemispheres, of the brain, which can do devastating damage.
As doctors continued to monitor Giffords' recovery, details emerged about the care she received when she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.
Trauma surgeon Dr. Randall Friese was the first to treat Giffords.
"I immediately went over to her bedside and began to coordinate her care," he said.
That meant going through a checklist much like what a pilot would do before taking off. Doctors checked to make sure there weren't any other bullet wounds, put in a breathing tube and assessed her mental state.
Despite not knowing if Giffords could hear him, Friese said he took her hand and told her that she was in the hospital and that doctors would take care of her.
"Then I said, 'Squeeze my hand, Mrs. Giffords.' And she did," recalled Friese.
He asked her several more times to press his hand and she responded.
