Seems like many Governors in this country are suddenly forgetting their oath and abusing not only their office but the trust, faith, and confidence of those that supported them.

Yes, just like Bill Clinton.

Quitting is quitting and there is no other way to put it.

I think she is going to be mired in numerous legal battles that will be ongoing.

The question is: Should she have broken the law, who would have jurisdiction? If State Law, then Parnell could pardon her. If federal law??? Hmm,

Palin: 'I am not a quitter; I am a fighter'

The decision to resign a year and a half before her term ends, and her rambling, often-disjointed resignation speech Friday, fueled days of debate among political analysts.

But Rep. Jay Ramras, a Fairbanks Republican who leads the state House Judiciary Committee, said when it comes to public opinion, "The concrete hasn't set up yet."

"Anyone who thinks we've started anything is delusional. ... What she did was she created a Gordian knot and then handed it off to someone else," he said

Yes I do. She's put up with a lot of shit from the left in this country including bogus lawsuits and allegations which has hampered her ability to run the state of Alaska. That's one of the reasons why she is stepping down.

BTW....I confused as to why you find Obama so appealing??? The man can't speak without a TelePrompter. He makes an ass out of himself every time he go's overseas. He bypasses the Constitution whenever he feels like it gets in his way. example: the hiring of unelected czars that are not answerable to Congress.

What's interesting about Palin's use of the teleprompter is that early on the McCain campaign found out she could not pronounce the word "nuclear".

In the released text of her convention speech, they accidentally included the words "new-clear" as shown in the photo of the prompter feed during her convention speech. You can Youtube search her RNC address, and sure enough, she pronounces it correctly during that speech. But if you listen to the debate with Biden, you find out that she is one of those illiterate twits that says "nucular" instead of "nuclear"....

And, of course, politicians have been using teleprompters for years. Here is the "Great Communicator" himself:

Another weird thing lately in the right wing media, is that they seem to have just discovered the term "czar" has been used for nearly three decades as a casual term for any White House specialist policy adviser - starting with Reagan's "Drug Czar" (for the WH advisor on drug policy)....

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2332432,00.asp

President Bush on Monday approved a controversial bill that will effectively create a "copyright czar" within the White House.

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Front_Page/EG04Aa02.html

Bush's 'surreal' choice for AIDS czar

http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=3176644&page=1

After a frustrating search for a new "war czar" to oversee the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, ABC News has learned that President Bush has chosen the Pentagon's director of operations, Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute, for the role.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/01/us/01powell.html

WASHINGTON —The White House said Friday that the administration’s Gulf Coast reconstruction czar, Donald E. Powell, was resigning to return to his family in Texas.

It's amazing how much traction stupid talking points obtain with idiots that don't pay attention.

But, Focus, this one is for you:

Well, doubtful she has every seen the inside of a library.

Most likely she hits the newstands for Glamour, TEEN, TigerBeat, Cosmo and leaves the tip on the stack of newspapers.

And is unaware that Judge Judy is NOT a supreme court justice and, no...that is NOT broadcast on the network Court TV.

Gee, I'm sorry to hear that, BD.

I gather you have no substantive response to the fact that politicians, including Sarah Palin, have been using teleprompters for decades, and that WH policy advisers have been informally called "czars" also for decades.

I was under the impression this particular thread was about Sarah Palin quitting, because she apparently cannot handle the type of thing that goes on when one is an elected official, such as the Whitewater investigation, the Paula Jones lawsuit, and an impeachment proceeding, simply to name a few which President Clinton dealt with while still managing to do his job.

Of course Ms. Palin could not manage to maintain steady enrollment in a string of community colleges either, quit her job as mayor to take a position on the Oil and Gas Board, and resigned from that one too.

But, BD, why get so upset? Imagine how happy you are going to be when Sarah Palin takes back America from the evil clutches of the Muslim, Kenyan, Atheist, Communist, Gay-loving, America-hating, Terrorist-pal, Barack Obama (do let me know if I left any out). After all, she will have all the support of the "real Americans" in the real American parts of America.

Maybe her husband and her are planning to try to make their own country & create their own govt. again...lmfao

You know that's something people don't mention often...probably the most un-american person that was holding the office of governor in any of our great states...what a joke, soooooooooooo glad she is gone. She is the worst possible thing to happen to women in politics since Lewinsky was sitting on cigars..she is completely clueless & I'm willing to guess she "blew" her way into her current position literally & figuratively speaking of course.

I think this pic say's it all...here is Sarah at a young & aspiring age..shirt reads "I may be broke but, I'm not flat busted."

Note: this is a media confirmed & 100% REAL pic of her

Funny vid John...left me gasping, short of breath..lol

True part about the fish though I'm sure... <:><

You can't be in touch with reality if you truly believe that ....

Obama is approximately 8,000 times better at speaking extemporaneously than Sarah Palin is. And that's a conservative number (interesting how "conservative" has multiple meanings).

You may disagree with his policies, but take it from someone who was a debate society officer in college and later trained in public speaking for my job: off the cuff, he is an articulate and thoughtful speaker, and she is a fumbling, vapid mess.
