    So who's counting Doc?

Seems to me like the WHO can't get their story straight even within their own ranks. And if there's only been 7 cases or even 150 cases isn't that likely around the norm? You and I both agree that this started over a month ago so that would be less than 5 deaths a day on average in all of Mexico. The "regular" flu kills a 100+ a day and Malaria kills 3000+ a day. and now they've raised us to level 5 which is just under Martial Law?

A member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has dismissed claims that more than 150 people have died from swine flu, saying it has officially recorded only seven deaths around the world.

Vivienne Allan, from WHO's patient safety program, said the body had confirmed that worldwide there had been just seven deaths - all in Mexico - and 79 confirmed cases of the disease.

"Unfortunately that [150-plus deaths] is incorrect information and it does happen, but that's not information that's come from the World Health Organisation," Ms Allan told ABC Radio today.

"That figure is not a figure that's come from the World Health Organisation and, I repeat, the death toll is seven and they are all from Mexico."

Ms Allan said WHO had confirmed 40 cases of swine flu in the Americas, 26 in Mexico, six in Canada, two in Spain, two in Britain and three in New Zealand.

Ms Allan said it was difficult to measure how fast the virus was spreading.

She said a real concern would be if the flu virus manifested in a country where a person had had no contact with Mexico, and authorities were watching all countries for signs of that.

"There is no pattern that has emerged at this stage to be able to say that it is spreading in a particular way or it is spreading into a particular country ... the situation is continuing to evolve," she said.

She said the WHO was not recommending against overseas travel, but urged those who felt sick to stay home and others to ensure they kept their hands clean.

No decision had yet been made about vaccinations.

"This virus is not airborne, it's caused by droplets ... so it's not a time for worry. It's a time to be prepared," Ms Allan said.

I know that they're seriously looking at a suspected case of a child who was at Disney (Orlando) the other day. Scary.

But - the CDC doesn't always report to the public all findings. If you don't believe me, read this:
    http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/bse/
and take a guess at how many CONFIRMED cases of BSE my wife saw in her own hospital in the one year she worked there. I think the CDC is also trying their hardest to keep the public form a mass panic.

Many cases of the flu now are being blamed on the swine flu, also. But - between 30,000 and 36,000 people a year die form the regular flu. If you're healthy then you don't need to worry about it - take a few days off and you'll be fine. If you have a weakened immune system (old, young, sick, etc.) and you're at risk (high exposure) then you may want to get a shot for this strain.

Right, keep the numbers low when it benefits one way and make them high when it benefits another. We've got a bunch of alarmists running around like chickens with their bird flu full heads cut off screaming "a threat to all of humanity" and these people can't even add up a correct number. Smells like pig sh*t to me.

I noticed this quote at the bottom of that page.

"Project censored is one of the organizations that we should listen to, to be assured that our newspapers and our broadcast outlets are practicing thorough and ethical journalism." — Walter Cronkite

    Now check this out

"The Ford-sponsored swine flu campaign almost died an early death, when a conscientious public servant, Dr. Anthony Morris, formerly of HEW and then active as director of the Virus Bureau of the Food and Drug Administration, declared that there could be no authentic swine flu vaccine, because there had never seen any cases of swine flu on which they could test it. Dr. Morris then went public with his statement that "at no point were the swine flu vaccines effective." He was promptly fired, but the damage had been done. The damage control consisted of that great humanitarian, Walter Cronkite, and the President of the United States, combining their forces to come to the rescue of the Medical Monopoly. Walter Cronkite had President Ford appear on his news program to urge the American people to submit to the inoculation with the swine flu vaccine. CBS then or later could never find any reason to air any analysis or scientific critique of the swine flu vaccine, which was identified as containing many toxic poisons, including alien viral protein panicles, formaldehyde, thimerosal (a derivative of poisonous mercury), polysorbate and some eighty other substances. Meanwhile, back at the virus laboratories, after Dr. Anthony Morris has been summarily fired, a special team of workers was rushed in to clean out the four rooms in which he had conducted his scientific tests. The laboratory was filled with animals whose records verified his claims, representing some three years of constant research. All of the animals were immediately destroyed, and Morris' records were burned. They did net go so far as to sow salt throughout the area, because they believed their job was done."
