Anything anti-Obama is a hot seller, I would almost bet if you added up all the sales and jobs created just producing and selling this kind of stuff, it would be more than what the $787 BILLION Dollar stimulus bill produced.

Please vote Republican in 2012, America can not sustain another 4 years
of Liberal policies that are fiscally and socially destroying the country..
Whenever I see people wearing t shirts that say "Tax the rich" or I hear someone reference how we don't tax the rich enough or taxing the rich doesn't matter.... I can't help but let out a long sigh. People like to think that it doesn't matter that they're taxed more because "they just have so much money they ought to deserve it or it won't effect their life". This is wrong.
Taxing the rich hurts everyone more than ever now. Rich people invest in the private economy...which provides jobs and growth, are owners of businesses that provide jobs and growth..., and do much wiser things with their money than any bloated government organization would know how to. States with crappy taxes on the rich don't attract rich people to invest and start businesses there.
Which scenario seems better for the economic well being of the United States:
Rich person investing his income in the private economy which funds starts up ands entrepreneurs and new businesses.
Rich person getting taxed and having to give nearly half his income to pork projects and government employees that get paid 20 dollars an hour + benefits to do things like slap a parking ticket on a car.
The more you tax the rich the more you funnel money into the giant, inefficient behemoth of a bloated organization that is our US and state governments.
Personally, I don't make a lot of money myself and I have to work pretty hard for what I do make - but ever since I've lived on my own and paid my own bills I can tell you it disgusts me the way liberals think these days. Just my two cents.
Obama is just trying to play the classes against each other because he doesn't want to be honest with Americans and tell them that middle class taxes are going to go up. Even though his administration is already toast, some poor souls are still taking the bait and acting as the stooge.
I'm sorry but your post just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Are you saying the fed gov shouldn't have access to more money because they will just waste it?
It appears you think the rich are overly taxed already. Do you understand the tax rate for the average rich person is most likely much less than yours since you are a working man? Do you also understand that what Obama wants is simply to let the tax breaks for the rich expire at the end of the year. These are the same tax breaks for the rich that George W. Bush put in place when he inherited a thriving economy when he was elected back in 2000. It was a payback to the rich for the favors of supporting him for office.
Obama is not trying to increase the taxes on the rich.....he is trying to level the playing field with the rich and the middle and lower income earners. This country could afford the big tax breaks for the rich when the economy was going great because of Clinton's democratic gov. back in the 90s.......we simply can't afford those rich tax breaks any longer.....Bush and his republican adminstration put a stop to that when they almost bankrupted this country and probably would have if they had had a couple more years in office.
I'm not for higher taxes on the rich either....but I am for cutting out the excessive tax breaks they enjoy....especially at this time when the middle and lower incomer earners are hurting so badly.
And the "lost years", begin again today.
I want, I want, I want...
I want everything, everybody wants everything, everything for free.
The populace has spoken. Everything for free. Something for nothing. Anarchy.
Yes. That is exactly what I am saying. Think of what you are saying about the federal government having 'access' to more money. In my mind I ask... Should the fed have the RIGHT... the *fundamental right* to say to someone at any time "Hey, you worked super hard for this money you earned but I need it more than you just because I say so and I have the power to write new taxes into law, so gimme it now".
And yes I 100% believe they WILL waste it. Look at the HUNDREDS of billions of dollars wasted on things like totally useless 'drug war' as just one example. Hundreds of billions of dollars with zero results except more powerful drug lords thanks to paradoxical effect of their strict drug policy. That is just one example setting bureaucracy efficiency aside entirely along with tons of other pointless services, agencies and commissions that have spawned over the years.
Allow me to clarify: I think EVERYONE is taxed too much. But the richer you are the more the feds will be licking their chops when they peruse your private bank records.
I have no idea where you think my tax rate is lower than someone making more than me? I don't mean to say I know your entirely wrong. I'm just honestly saying that has not been my experience...
My tax rate is 20%. Each time I look at my paycheck and see the taxable gross and then the net I want to puke. And that's just 20%.
A few friends and family of mine make enough so they are in the 45% bracket. That's just federal. Imagine you're one of them. Add in state income tax and youre basically losing 50% of your income every year.
Do you understand how substantial that is? You work from JANUARY to JULY and your bank account is +0... ZERO DOLLARS at the end.
That's just income tax dude. So after SIX MONTHS of working for Uncle Sam you get your take home pay. So with that 50% cut youre left with of a whole years work you have to buy things like food and other items to live... well what happens next?... taxed again by the state you live in of course! Need gas? Taxed again! Wow you're now working what like 7 or more months of the year for Uncle Sam? Cool? NOT!
So let's say you pay your income tax and all taxes placed various living expenses... And you want to take the scrap left overs and invest it for your future when you're old and cant work like nowadays or your old and dying. Let's say you invest wisely in the stock market. You spend hundreds of hours a week studying the market or pay for the equivalent expertise...
(all the while the government is parading around their 50% of your hard earned money by jailing teenage stoners, making useless donations to africa, paying city workers 20 dollars an hour to empty trash cans + benefits, or just losing itand not knowing what happened to it - yes that happens to millions of dollars... go look it up.)
...so yes you invest it and you make a good return. so years later you wanna fund junior's college or live off it and not work.. welp!!! taxed again! double taxation for 20% capital gains or whatever it is (democrats and obama want to raise it). awesome... so the money that you first worked half a year for uncle same to get gets taxed on again! and get this....
to reference the tax breaks we are debating over....
the most disgusting tax break they want to let expire is the DEATH TAX. when you die god damn it they're gonna tax you for that. so first you earned the money and got taxed, then you invested that taxed money and got taxed for it growing. so you want to pass this double taxed money to your offspring? TAXED AGAIN. TRIPLE TAXATION! hell yea we need more bombs for iraq!!
i'm not letting out long sighs at this point... i'm puking out my guts!!
And some democrats wanted to retroactively go after those people who got the breaks... and some democrats want to boost the taxes to make up for those breaks. To avoid rambling - no it's not that simple. Never is.
I have no idea why or how he did them, but if you think Al Gore or Obama havent done shady favors or used convoluted persuasion you're drinking the coolaid. ALL sides do it.
Everything ^^^^^ especially the first quote reply. also go to peopleofwalmart.com and tell me if you'd ever willingly hand over money saying "you look like you could use this for a good cause".
I dont get how people can just think "clinton in office economy good, bush in office economy bad". You're basically summing up hundreds of hours of research, theorizing, postulating blah blah. Im not an economist but I know for sure it's NOT AT ALL that simple.
but there is one thing i do know... how can you say that the "economy of clinton in the 90s" was actually good. it was NOT real growth... it was a BUBBLE that crashed like no other of our known history.
look at the dow dude, it rose all during clinton years. and it also, aside from the dot com bust, rose just the same during bush just til the end. it rose up very sharply during bush just like clinton.
look: http://www.google.com/finance?chdnp=...JX:.DJI&ntsp=0
if that links work look at time line and imagine the election dates of bush and clinton. according to your theory it's obama's fault! (which it isnt i know)
it was not a thriving economy, but a ballooning bubble. if it was real growth it would not crash like mad like it did. how can anyone say the economy in the 90s was good? it was utterly doomed. if you want to read anything about the cause - read up on the government backed mortgage whatevers fannie mae and freddie mac or whatevert theyre called.
im against stupid spending of any politician such as the stupid iraq war or ronald mcdementia's wife's say no to drugs campaign. they all suck. government 99% sucks.
anyway that is my clarification. i respect your right to your own opinion and beliefs and this just a cordial expression of mine since you so very much invited me. good day and cheers!![]()
hello1984, thanks for your post. Its long and I suspect it took you a while to write it. Its unlike most I see which are just cut and pasted and I appreciate that.
Like you, I don't agree with how they use the money but the fed government does have the right to collect taxes. If you've been following the current news you will know our country is drowning in debt and very likely to go under if the politicians don't come up with a way to lower it. This scares the hell out of me buts its not all Obama's fault. When he took office it was necessary to go into debt for huge amounts of money to keep our economy from collapsing. I'm not saying the money was put to the best use possible but I do believe it was necessary to be spent.....or invested as was in some cases.
Under different circumstances I would agree everyone is taxed too much but not now with our huge debt being what it is. This country is going down the drain if our debt is not brought under control.
As for some people paying a 45% fed tax rate I have to take issue with that. The highest is 35% and has been for several years now. The very rich pay a much lower rate because of their many deductions and the very best tax advisors money can buy. Many of the very richest people in our country have openly admitted to paying a lower tax rate than those earning a small fraction of what they earn.....and they think its unfair. Warren Buffett admits to paying a 17.7% tax rate on his 46 million dollar taxable income in 2006 which was about half the rate of his secretary who earned $30,000 that year.
In summary I believe our main problems with our government is entirely too much waste, theft, fraud, carelessness, and just plain lack of leadership in all areas, local, state, and federal. If we as taxpayers and voters don't quit squabbling about democrats, republicans, liberals, ultra conservatives, hard right, hard left, etc., and start demanding each of these areas be scrutinized and cleaned up with a fine tooth comb we won't survive as a free and capitalistic country. Thats my opinion.
