Texas jury convicts "Republican" Tom DeLay
A Texas jury on Wednesday convicted former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay on charges of illegally funneling corporate money to help elect GOP candidates to the Texas Legislature.
DeLay was found guilty of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering, court bailiff Gilbert Soto said. He was accused of funneling $190,000 to help elect Republicans to the state House and Senate in 2002.

Don't you love it when a politician is corrupt people seem to care more about their political affiliation than the fact that they abused their position? People should be pissed off PERIOD and not care about their affiliation. these people are hired (though a voting process) into a position of integrity to try to improve this country and what do they do? They abuse the system to make things go their own way - regardless if it is for the good of the country (or state, county, city) or not.
What people should be mad about is the fact that these people rarely serve even a significant percentage of their time. As per the article:

Here we also have Maxine Waters who influenced a $12 MILLION Dollar TARP Bailout for her Husbands Bank, $12 MILLION TAX Dollars.
As for serving time in Prison, Would you be more upset if Delay didn't serve time in prison? OR would you be more upset if Charles Rangel who was also found Guilty of ethics charges this month was allowed by his Democratic friends in congress to remain in his seat?
