Did anyone watch the video? Does anyone care to discuss the actual content of the video and it's validity?

James Balog graphically displays time lapsed video from 30 cameras of an increased rate of disintegration of glaciers around the world. He uses this evidence as his basis for his claim that the increased loss of these glaciers are a direct result of global warming. This is what the thread is about and hopefully should be the basis for the discussion.

If you have information that discredits the photographer's integrity or can show alternative causes for the phenomena he is showing that would be a good reason to respond and try to persuade others to believe your point of view. Using wild comparisons like those above to refute the claims made and backed up by years of time lapsed photography doesn't make much sense.

Yes, i watched the video and I think its great we have those who are doing such work. What the photos show are true and should be advertised and shown as much as possible. There are many out there totally clueless about whats happening with our worlds glaciers because of global warming.

I wish they would but I don't expect our little band of GW deniers here to watch such videos. By their actions they appear to only interested in the silly cartoons and comics they post that support their misquided opinions.

I must have written this a dozen times already in these threads, but here goes again.

The number of glaciers left on this planet is tiny compared to how many there used to be. Nearly all of them melted away prior to the dawn of the industrial revolution - hell, most melted before the dawn of man!

So the photos show some melting - that's hardly new - they've been melting ever since they were formed. To think that that melting is atributable to man is to jump to a conclusion based on hype, hysteria and massive conceitedness on our behalf. What about the tens of thousands of glaciers that melted before we got here? Will some mmgw believer say what happened to them?
