    USDA & NAACP scandal

<rant>What is our country coming to? Someone can blatantly discriminate against someone else, resign, then have public officials apologize, and offer her another job/raise? It's odd how she resigned at first, now all you hear is that she was wrongly fired. It's unbelievable....

If it were a white person that didn't do everything in their power to stop a foreclosure, and it was revealed at an all white meeting, the issue would be totally different. IMO, the NAACP is a racist organization, and I for one am tired of the whole 'White Guilt' that is associated with everyday living. It doesn't matter that the farmer's property was saved because of a simple referral. </rant>

I don't believe modern day America is what our forefathers envisioned...

Probably not. Some of the forefathers were slave owners.

And when you watch the full video, it's completely a different story. Taking snippets out of context, not doing your homework is lazy.

And the white people in the story -

"We probably wouldn't have (our farm) today if it hadn't been for her leading us in the right direction," said Eloise Spooner, 82, the wife of farmer Roger Spooner of Iron City, Ga. "I wish she could get her job back because she was good to us, I tell you."

She told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she considered Sherrod a "friend for life," saying that "the federal official worked tirelessly to help" them hold onto their farm as they faced bankruptcy in 1986."

Seem to be perfectly fine with her.

I respect what the founders did for this country, but I don't think many of them were actually as great as revisionist history has made them.

It is not like the "good ole days" were all that good anyway.
