    Voting

In a few weeks (hopefully many) Americans will head to the polls to vote for govenors, represenatives, senators, local authorities, and local laws.

I'm not posting this to tell you who to vote for but I am asking people to RESEARCH their candidates. Read about them, check out their web sites, read (several) news articles from different sources, check their voting history. Learn the good and bad.

One of the reasons why there are so many issues in the USA right now is that many people have a lemming attitude towards voting. People vote for a candidate solely based on their political affiliation which is a HORRIBLE way to vote. While there are clear differences between them all there are many gray areas and gray area issues on the table now.

Don't be afraid of "3rd party candidates", too. Even if you think they have no chance in winning it still sends the message that you thought they were the best candidate and will give the person, as well as their party, another reason to continue their political careers.

Do the research and even make a cheat sheet (most states have sample ballots available online), it is 100% legal and no one will laugh at you when you open your's up at the polling station.

the us presidential system was designed with one thing in mind: to make sure people FEEL that they are deciding who gets to rule them, but in reality, the ones who evenually wield power will be guys that the voters know nothing about. doesn't really matter if you vote left or right or up or down, eventually those guys whom you elect will be doing only one thing: putting their signatures on giant bills designed by organized powerful interests that for the most part are not even visible, such as the omnipotent banks who OWN everything in america, much like how the soviet communist party owned everything in russia. That is how guys like timoth geithner get to decide how your lives should be run. and it is not just in the us, every other country that has the presidential system is in the same situation. but i guess it is better than the arab world, where you dont even have the luxury of the FEELING of being in charge of your destiny. obama's election itself underscores how irrelevant elected offices in america are, the only thing that actually changed was the picture of the president's wife on the oval office desk. but most problems in america are unfixable owing to one simple fact- americans, just like the north koreans are brainwashed into believing that they are the most amazing, wonderful and FREE country on earth, it is too traumatic for them even to think about 'is that really true?' simple truths, just like 'gravity' take a long time for people to notice..

she really said that? 90% of problems on earth are caused by freaks who believe that they are on a divine mission to make sure EVERYONE ELSE gets to heaven. Who wants to go to a heaven where a freak like her is running around sniffing everyone's hand The only difference between the Taliban and her is a goddamned towel and a fanbelt on her head.. bloody islamist !

Christine O'Donnell Says U.S. Hasn't Finished Job Of Fighting 'Soviets' In Afghanistan

And why would this come as a shocker to anyone?

Sarah Palin advisers prepped Christine O'Donnell for debate

    Hmm, does this sound familiar?

    Some real scary stuff.

    Good thread Dragger....

Aside from the Senate and House races, I think the most uneducated decisions voters make are with the Propositions on the Ballot, these are what effect your State the most... Many of the ads for the YES and NO campaigns are so FAR removed from what your really voting for, that when you go into the voting booth you cant find it, you cant find it because the commercial you listened to is selling it from another angle.

For example, California's prop. 25, that gives the State Legislature the authority to pass a budget with a simple majority as opposed to the current 2/3rds majority, With a Legislature dominated with Democrats who are in bed with the Unions and do nothing but SPEND and TAX, this is the LAST thing California needs... But the YES vote campaign isn't telling you that, NO, what their telling you is; "Vote YES to force politicians to pass a budget on time and if they don't pass it on time, they don't get paid for everyday the Budget is late". Sound's great doesn't it? so the idiots who only listen to the commercial and FAIL to educate themselves of what the real impact will be, they end up voting YES, taking our State one step closer to bankruptcy.

    If you live in California, Please vote the following;

    Prop 19 - NO
    Prop 20- YES
Prop 21- NO. $18 added vehicle tax? NO!. Fund your own damn parks by slashing spending for illegal aliens, Considering how much they cost us, $250 Million shouldn't be that hard to find.
    Prop 22- YES
Prop 23 -YES, YES, YES!!!! Suspend AB-32, the Global Warming Act that will KILL 1.3 Million jobs and drive up energy costs.
    Prop 24- NO
    Prop 25- NO
Prop 26- YES - Requires "Fees" (another word for Taxes) to be voted on by the people, A “yes” vote fights tax increases.
    Prop 27- NO

I assume this post is a joke.... But in case it's not, what difference does it make? Do you think if she's elected she will have any impact of our freedom to Masturbate?. LOL. Seriously, it's a NON issue, it's like saying I'm not going to vote for the Major our City because She's pro-life, like she's really going to have the authority to overturn Roe V Wade. Christine O'Donnell strikes me as honest and sincere, a person who will be more of a public servant to the people of Delaware than a self serving Lawyer turned politician like her opponent, it's A-holes like him that are the problem in Washington D.C.

Democratic party strategy for 2010 congressional seats.

    1. Barack who? Oh yea. Well, he's on his own at the moment.
    2. Avoid discussion about States Rights.
    3. Avoid discussing Immigration.
    4. Avoid discussion about Stimulus.
    5. Avoid discussion about Healthcare.
    6. Avoid discussion about Don't Ask Don't Tell.
    7. Avoid dicussing Obama's national civilian security force (Thought we forget about that one, eh?)
    8. Hell, just avoid discussion about the last two years.

So, it only leaves two main alternatives for the likes of these people:

    9. Release unsubstantiated information about your opponent.
    10. Desperately try to turn a mole hill into a mountain.

How can that be?, Washington D.C. has been run for the last 4 years by liberal a-holes like yourself, who for the past 2 years have thrown their support behind another A-Hole in the Oval Office, who have the past 2 years OWNED every piece of Legislation, most of which was against the will of the people. The party of which for the past 4 years has run this Country into the Ground adding 4 Million job losses and 3 TRILLION to the National debt... . NO, the American people now see Democrats for what they really are, Arrogant and progressive tax and spenders who are killing the American Dream.

And let's not leave out using Bill Clinton, Notice how many Democrat incumbents are using him to campaign for them, their NOT using Obama because that would be political suicide, much better to use a popular president and pay him off for his endorsement.... Bill Clinton must be making a killing off this election.

    Ooo, bravo!

Bush and his administration is the pillar of Truth and Integrity.

    They are the model citizens.

In the Oxford Dictionary is a photo of Cheney and Bush under the definitions of Truth and Integrity

Isn't this the same message Obama used when the Oil leak was capped in the Gulf only to have it blow out again?, Obama's speech of Mission Accomplished had everything that Bush's speech had, just without the banner.
