I have a very odd feeling that this is all staged.

They go though this whole fiasco (not sure how much longer it will go or how much worse it will get), he crashes hard (almost dies, etc..) goes to rehab, then WB hires him back and the show is top of the charts (again).

Or, he could just be completely F-ed up.

BTW cocaine and marijuana should be legalized same as tobacco and alcohol is. It woudl lead to huge state income (taxes), big savings (no more gajillions for fighting drug crima) and Mafias would become poorer = more saved money.

Well, it depends if the illness (in this case addiction) was present.

But, if it violates policy and terms of contract.

Example: One hospital I worked at has a substance abuse program for employees. You had to voluntarily enter the program. This was a reward system for wanting to detox and come clean.

If you were caught by either arrest, random drug screening, selective drug screening, piss test, or blood test and tested positive, you were fired. You could not then "volunteer" to enter the institution's substance abuse program after you were busted.


Back to Charlie Sheen - after the abusive language he had with the producer of the show, after the rants and non-sensible statements he made in public "No, you should't do crack - unless you can handle it", and with the parent company of CBS being Disney, Inc, well...

That would be good replacement imho. And Charlie would keep getting paid because he has such clause i his contract. Depends on who has better lawyers now. Who for sure will win - lawyers, as usually. They always get paid no matter the outcome.

That would have to be some major money talked. He is doing a stint on NBC Parks and Recreation.

Although...there is this thing about a tape surfacing several years back of him having sex with a teenager.

Perhaps the CBS and Disney execs are looking the other way?
