I have not yet determined whether I will voluntarily take the H1N1 vaccine or be forced to take it.

I am not sure. Many hospitals across the nation are requiring hospital staff to take it or face being dismissed.

There is a planned protest in Albany NY tomorrow.

A new study from docs in New Zealand/Australia determine that the H1N1 virus is 1000 times more likely to enter the lungs than the normal strain of seasonal flu.

The new H1N1 strain may be at least 1,000 times more adept than seasonal flu at infiltrating the lower branches of the airway, said Yoshihiro Kawaoka, a virologist at the University of Tokyo, who has studied the viruses in non-human primates.

In severe cases, influenza can damage the capillaries surrounding the tiny grape-like sacs, known as alveoli, where gas is exchanged through the blood. Damaged alveoli can bleed, causing pulmonary hemorrhage and blood clots.

Inflammatory chemicals are produced by the immune system to fight the infection and repair the damage. An over-exuberant response can worsen the effect by filling the lungs with fluid and cause permanent scarring that restricts the lungs.

Just thinking off the top of my head.

Massachusetts Swine shots are mandatory.
Many schools across the nation it is mandatory.
Military it's mandatory.
Medical workers it is mandatory many places.
My VA acts like I must get the Flu shot every year and has the nerve to even ask me why won't I get one. Oh I love to tell them why and all the poisons that are proven to be in those shots. They also have never been proven to work!

Being a full-time domainer surely has it's advantages...I encourage everyone to minimize contact with the public until this whole thing blows over....don't be afraid to wear a mask, eat at home, wash your hands, get the best micro allergen air filter you can buy for your a/c. Above all, take care of yourself and stay away from hotspots like bars, strip clubs, large social gatherings, etc. You do not HAVE to get the flu this year.

I eat a raw onion every day in the winter, and when I do that I have not got sick at all. Onions are good for that and work pretty well, garlic is also good to keep you well in the fall and winter.

Once more, I would like to offer this reminder:

Stay away from hospitals - needless to say, they are the biggest "hot zone" for virus and bugs

Here are some latest numbers being tossed around:

Report: Flu might fill up hospitals in 15 states
35 percent of Americans could fall ill during peak of outbreak

By the outbreak's peak, the new report suggests Delaware and Connecticut hospitals would fill up soonest. Also on that list: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.

To deal with overcrowding from emergencies, hospitals are supposed to have "surge" plans — when they would postpone elective surgeries to free up beds, for instance, and when they might even need to call in government help for mobile hospital units.

Some hospitals have already erected tent ER's to keep flu symptoms away from the hospital populations.

Locally, several hospitals have banded together to announce that they will not allow visitors under 18 through flu season. This was just revealed yesterday.

Spoke to a nurse who heads the intensive care unit at a BIG local hospital, she said they have seen 2 Swine Flu cases, one was a very obese older dude with asthma & the other was a very young child with mild symptoms that they think might have not even been that flu but the regular one...the obese guy recovered in a week despite his poor initial health status and breathing issues.

You are in Florida too right? Memorial West, Jackson Hospital, Cleveland Clinic or Mount Sinai?

I know at Memorial West Hospital you can't even walk into it with any type of flu symptoms and if you do, you have to wear a mask and carry around purell. Last time I was there was a few months ago, but i am sure they are still doing it...

i have one simple question. is this happening in other countries, or is the US government the only ones trying to make the vaccines mandatory?

Not diminishing a life I'm diminishing the propaganda. They keep saying so and so dies from the swine flu and make a big deal out of it being the swine flu only to find out a week latter that they had other complications. It's happened so many times now it's not even funny. There is a 14 year old that died (the only one I'm aware of) within the last week where it has just came out that she had life long issues. If anyone is diminishing their lives it's those using their deaths to sell their drugs and agenda.

I am not sure of the answer as well.

But lets make it clear that the US government IS NOT making vaccines mandatory.

Certain institutions are, however. They are using the its our policy to institute making getting the shot mandatory and get away with it. If a hospital requires all employees to get both seasonal flu and H1N1 and you refuse, then they can claim you violated their policy which is grounds for dismissal.

Again, the US government HAS NOT made this madatory as the title of this thread ad many statements would have you believe.
