I want to see someone openly:
1) If they've taken drugs - ADMIT IT. No "I didn't inhale" BS. "Yes, I smoked pot in college and liked it" or "Yes, I did crack in the 80s but I turned my life around" etc..
2) A politicians willing to get their hands dirty. No Ivy league style phesant hunting, I'm talking Sarah Palin going out, bagging a 1 ton+ moose, cleaning it, and cooking it all in the same day - no trophy hunting. Hell, my 13 year old cousin has been hunting moose ever since she was 7 (in Maine). I think even real fishing will do (go out and catch a nice sized marlin or tuna and then clean & cookit.
3) GET A REAL DOG. No custom mutts (cocker-doodles etc..) and no toy dogs (and I don't mean Obama's kids, I'm talking HIS DOG). I want to see a real dog - a German shepherd, a Doberman, Rottweiler, Malinois. No one would mess with you with a shepherd or dobie sitting nobly next to you.
4) Know when to dress up and when to dress down. I don't want to see them in jeans only when they want to look like regular people (touring disaster areas etc..). Sure, there is a time for suits (meetings etc..) and a time for jeans.
5) Affection. Too many politicians treat their spouses / significant others like they're dating from the colonial periods. I think Obama is the first president I've ever seen kiss his wife (but I wonder if it'll stop as the job sets in?). Seriously, if they don't even look like they care about the person they want to spnd the rest of their life with - how can they care about the area that they "represent".
6) Real interests. If you don't like baseball and don't know much about it - don't waste seats on your rear end. If you don't know what a 3-2 count is, then don't go. You'll just have a fake hapy face on that most people will know is fake. If you're a NASCAR fan then get your rear to the Daytona 500, The Glenn, and Homestead.

Well, I would like politicians who are honest, without being corrupt, and are concerned with their jobs. That seems to be far too much as is.
