When I was in college one of the student council candidates whole campaign was a bunch of signs that said "VOTE (NAME)" or "NO BULLS**T VOTE (NAME)".

He got on the council.

Ross Perot. He ran based on his money. Yes, he eventually stated political ideas, but he was primarily running on his money.
