There is nothing wrong with her shorts. Its not like they are extremely short or showing anything. Anyone who is offended with her shorts have no life and need something to bark about.

The first paragraph of the story sums up my thoughts perfectly.

Michelle Obama wore shorts to visit the Grand Canyon. Have you heard? Everyone is up in arms—if by "everyone" you mean no one, or rather a large, shadow-y group of no ones.

What silliness. I never thought fashion advice was needed for a visit and short hike at the Grand Canyon.

Instead of wasting a thread, how about this:

Has anyone visited a National Park, Forest, Monument, or Wildlife Refuge this summer? Which one(s) and how were they?

I'll start... I live a few miles from Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge:

... have been biking the trails there since I was a teenager, and it's still one of my favorite places to go.

My property is a listed Wildlife Refuge (Habitat) by the NWF.

As for national parks to visit, Cape Hatteras National Seashore beats em all.

Oregon is an amazing state to visit if you enjoy the outdoors. The coastal rainforests and misty beaches are particularly breathtaking. Some of it still has a very untouched feel, almost like a window into what the Indians and early settlers might have seen. Check it out at least once if you haven't done so already.
