Why do you hate people who follow a religion other than yours?

I don't but most of the religious intolerance is caused by ignorance (not willing to learn about the others), lack of education (never been told about the others), and mis-education (being taught the wrong thing).

The sad part is that when you look at the big 3 (Christianity, Judaism, and Muslim) they're almost identical in their teachings.

The "Old Testament" (Christian), the Qur'an (Muslim), and the Torah (Jewish) are all very similar. The ten commandments are a basic set of "human rights" rules (which are derived from some very ancient beliefs) as well as defining monotheism (belief in one god) as opposed to polytheism (belief in many gods) and "modernizing" (from the time they came out) some beliefs.

I don't hate members of other religions; I just dislike their actions if they try to impose their religious beliefs on others (through force or law).

Hate, no. Everyone is free to chose their path, what someone else choses does not dictate how I would treat them.

I don't. But 1) some "religious" people *think* there is only ONE GOD, so anybody else worshipping a "false god" is blasphemy or whatever; 2) some other "religious" people *think* there IS a "God", so anybody else denoucing that is again blasphemy or whatever.

As an atheist (converted from more than 13 years of brainwashing since birth between Catholic parents and schooling), I don't mind people who worship THEIR god or gods or whatever, just don't sound like there really is a god out there.

I accept everyone for whatever they believe in. I have no right to judge or dislike because essentially isn't the same at the end of the day?
