Dear Mr. President,
We accept your terms and will begin to cease trade relations with the USA, effective immediately. This includes all maritime and airspace sharing agreements, as well as the pacts governing the non commercial exploitation of N.E.A.s and outer space.
Please try to keep your citizens fed and happy when you no longer have any cheap vehicles with which to plow your fields, or any cheap electronic goods from these 3rd world loser countries, that ensure your fat and happy life style is sustained at the expense of their working poor.
As we recall, most of your citizens don't buy your own produce in these areas as they tend to be inferior to European and Asian goods in the same price range.
Also note that many of the non-military scientific advances America is enamoured with were created by countries on List 2. As they no longer have any trade obligations, please note you are on your own with scientific endeavour. Whilst we're sure you can come up with that stuff yourself, it really does work much faster when you have the entire scientific community working on individual issues.
Seeing as you are basically retreating from all obligations, there is no point in continuing with the UN in a New York location anyway. We've moved it to Germany, where the Audis and Mercedes come even cheaper as they don't need to be imported. Please feel free to crush the ones we leave behind at your own expense... Oh yes, they're the American export models that don't require fuel efficiency standards either, so it's not like we really want them here.
In regards to energy sources, you are welcome to Alaska. Russia doesn't want it anymore now that they're on gas, and most of Europe is going to nuclear, solar or wind electric. You will find that the economies of scale involved in heating shale to the point that oil can be extracted from it are quite startling to the average citizen, who will now have to pay the sort of prices we take for granted in Europe, where we don't subsidize our fuel costs, and therefore don't over use finite resources under the assumption the good times will keep rolling.
Finally, those loser countries weren't with you either because they didn't have any military capacity to give (the majority of cases) or they didn't believe that waging war against Iraq, which it has been proven had no actual ties to Al Qaeda
until after the mission was declared complete (and we're pretty sure Hans Blix said there wasn't anything there either), would actually solve the complex issue of terrorism, which they believe to be ideologically based, but economically ensured.
As America sinks into a 2nd world economy, due to the lack of trade with outside nations and technological innovation, and increasingly finds itself under domestic attack as happens with any declining country throughout our historical experience (remember Rome?), please do not expect what little help we may have once been willing to give.
Yours - That Asian guy who's name your news readers never get right, and few of your citizens know...
