COURT ORDERS REGISTRY TO TRANSFER AOL.ORG
A federal court in Virginia has ordered the Public Interest Registry, the registry for the dot-org domain, to transfer aol.org to AOL. AOL previously obtained an ACPA in rem jurisdictional ruling to transfer the domain but the Asian-based registrar refused to transfer the domain. The court ruled that there is no bar on ordering the registry to transfer a domain where the registrar is uncooperative and refuses to comply with an ACPA transfer order. Case name is aol.org v. AOL.
I remember when that one dropped. Watch what you go for!![]()

As long as the Registry is US-centric they will always cave in to the power of big American corporations.
