In UK there are three registered trademarks (that I can find) shown below.

This is simply joining two very common words together in an obvious way - "Fun" and "World".

I would imagine you could use it to start your own business. You can even register them as a trademark if you so wanted - proving not in same class as those already registered.

This is what makes the whole thing a pathetic joke:

************************************************
You can register the word as a trademark - but you cannot register it as a domain name.
************************************************

These individuals in authority (UN WIPO, US DoC and ICANN) are either stupid morons - or corrupt. I include the lawyers in this.

My money is on the latter.

If you are not encroaching into the registered trademarks business, I can see no lawful reason for them to take it away from you.

I think they will try - and with the corrupt UDRP system, using trademark overreach, they will likely win.

It is not impossible for you to win.

Take two other common words "Play" and "UK".

I have sent off Play UK (the Sky TV channel) solicitors (wiggin.co.uk) with a flee in ear. They tried to take PlayUK.co.uk off my friends son.

This is informed opinion - IANAL. The system is corrupt - I have no wish to be held accountable for their corruption.

Hmm.. not sure about that, I have been taken away 2 domains which I had built it(one site) for one and half years last week, the new owner just applied an US court restrain order to make the registrar transfer my domains to new owner. I didn't even have a chance to defend my case before they were taken away.
The new owner only paid $100 for each name to the court and got the names they wanted, instead of going to WIPO and spending few thousand of dollars.

I had an issue with panasonic.org a year ago when i worked for them, a cyber squatter had it. If its a trademarked name such as nokia then no one stands a chance really but something as generic as funworld can be argued quite well if its being or has been developed. Nice idea Lasko, i would have gone for a gaming site/affiliate myself!

Cheers
