Can TM's be used for fan sites?

I just found a domain through another forum that is an obvious TM: www.z28.com and was wondering if this was legal?

It seems as though it would be a good way to have unbiased opinions by actual consumers, but who knows....

Any advice would be appreciated...

Some companies are strict. They threaten fan sites with a lawsuit first thing, and have been successful in closing many sites.

A few have made it clear that fan sites are welcome, but this is apparently rare.

I believe that a review site may be very different from a fan site. I guess sites could be a mix. I think a real review site would be much safer if done right.

Thanks nameguy...

But it appears that this case was about an un-registered trademark. Still it was good reading and I appreciate the effort.
