Casinos going after casino related names

We are looking for a lawyer in Nevada to fight against some weak lawsuits involving casino names.

Apparently casinos are just filing hundreds of lawsuits against domain owners no matter how weak the case is.

Can anybody else add any insights?

Please excuse the multiple threads.

Re: Casinos going after casino related names

What types of names? Generic terms or domains that include names of existing casinos?

Re: Casinos going after casino related names

They have the word resort in them and locations like china, london etc.

Some do contain the name of a company but do not include existing resorts.

With all the free speech websites and blogs I am surprised that a lawsuit would be filed when the pages have under construction signs set up.

the case looks pretty weak, however the lawfirms are banking on people not being able to afford the cost to defend the names.

Do you know any Nevada lawyers that handle domain name cases or would like to try a domain name case?

Clarke Walton

If you are talking about one of the Greenberg Traurig suits, where they go in on a TRO and then leave you twisting in the wind to pay them, then... good luck.
