    Corporation name search

    Does anyone know of a website or service I can search the availability of different corporation names in my state of Florida? I do not want to keep calling an accountant to search the availability as I come up with a business name. I prefer a free service, but if it is a paid service I'd only need it for a week tops.

    Corporation database ?
    http://www.dos.state.fl.us/doc/ => http://www.sunbiz.org/

    Their interface is shitty. Here is a link to search for registered companies: http://www.sunbiz.org/corpweb/inquiry/search.html

    Hope this helps.

    Suggestion without knowing your intent:

    If you are looking to incorporate or form a partnership or an LLC, look into registering in the state of Delaware. Some of the cheapest rates in the country, instant search on their database for name availability, and very reasonable agent fees with most included in the price.

    The second link is what I was looking for. I will check it out later when I am not on my cellphone. Thanks
