just had this idea:
What if all us members that are against the WLS would join forces, hire John, Ari, Howard or whoever else or all 3 and file a class action lawsuit against ICANN/netsol/whoever about the WLS implementation?
I think if just enough members would join in, the payment should not be a problem at all.
I mean, everything that can be done against WLS should at least be worth a thought.
What do you guys think (including the honorable lawyer members) ?
And to those that are pro WLS: Please refrain from starting a pro/contra WLS discussion here, this thread is clearly meant as a try to do something *against* the WLS, it's meant seriously so please respect that.
Ok, who would join and what are your opinions?
Great. And those of us who are in favor will hire another lawyer and file an amicus brief in favor of WLS.
And how would you calculate your damages?
Unless you can get an injunction, you will accomplish nothing.
I suppose one of the attorneys on the thread can give you some reasons pro and con for a suit.
I have a better idea for you, Beatz: spend your time and energy figuring out how to adapt to the changes that are coming.

Verisign = Microsoft
WLS = Internet Explorer/OS Integration
DJC = Netscape
Anything could happen I guess.

Umm...to the ones that are pro WLS and can't read:
I clearly said please refrain from starting a WLS pro/against discussion here.
This thread is clearly meant for the ones who are *against* WLS and to discuss possible ways to stop WLS, in particular joining forces to file a lawsuit.
So if you are pro WLS, please stay out.
Simple.
Thank you.
