Has anyone noticed that an inordinate amount of domain theft happens at enom?
Yeah, He posted these domains for sale on another forum, and I alerted mods when I saw mail id previously used by this scammer, in whois, so his account is closed by now. he registered there with id cbcl ..
this was the mail id used in whois : just_a_imp@yahoo.com

Are you sure these domains are stolen ,or have they been recovered now ??. Reason I ask is I have dealt with the registrant that shows in whois now, askmysite.com
DG
Note:My posted Sales Prices are valid for 3 Days only
Most my domains listed for sale are available at sedo.com
Yes, I'm sure these domains are stolen. I didn't never transfer.
"inordinate" is a carefully chosen word
"a large" amount of domain theft occurs at Network Solutions and GoDaddy.
Your computer might be compromised: trojans, keyloggers and other software that can hijack your account passwords.

Yes,
e-mail account at whois has been changed to 'just_a_imp@yahoo.com' right before domain transfer took place from (http://enom.com) to (http://godaddy.com and http://moniker.com).
It was too late by the time I found out about it and I have no clue as to how this could be possible.
If my account has been hacked, I can not understand why someone would steal only 3 to 4 letters domains when I have over 500 domains.
Perhaps thsoe were the easiest of the names you have to move fast and cash in.
The other thing to consider is not so much if there are domain hacking attempts or which registrar has the most but which registrars DO the most when you come to them and say something has happened in order to retrieve them.
Sorry, not trying to mince words... I guess that it seems like when I read about this, it usually happens at eNom. On the other hand, the commenter who said that it happens a lot at Moniker... I thought that they had never lost a domain name?
I know that Network Solutions lost sex.com, so the most high profile loss in history was there, but it seems like GoDaddy has some steps in place to revert stolen domains rather quickly.
So... I guess my real question was -- does eNom seem to lose more than others, do people just gripe about eNom more, or is my research faulty?
eNom is a reseller's registrar. People that seem to gripe at eNom are subsellers or retail account holders created by resellers. GoDaddy is a retail registrar. Issues I had in the past with eNom were resolved quickly, as I am a reseller. If I were a subseller I'd have to contact my upselling person. GoDaddy's reaction is not necessarily better with regards to reclaiming domains. However, they seem to have streamlined the reclaiming process due to the increased amount of such incidents on their end. I don't think that there is any accurate data anywhere, even if one compiled famous cases and their registrars. NetSol has had issues as well because of their managing mechanism having a series of faults in the past. It appears to me that Moniker is the safest because they are still small enough to look into each case of domain theft individually.
These hackers are working overtime or what?
Domaining to the max.
Thanks for your interest.
They returned domain to me![]()
Enom returned it? Voluntarily?
