    Unhappy dunno how to deal with this stolen domain situation

    Hello,

    here is a situation i don't know what todo exactly:
    1- one of my customers asks me to push his domains from his enom account to our enom account to control them from our side
    2- i login and push his 10 domains to our account
    3- few later 1 - 2 weeks someone contact us back saying someone of your customers stole my domains they are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10
    4- i contact my customer he said he bought the domains for xxx from yyy person
    5- yyy person email me and says yes i sold those domains to him
    6- i contact enom for old whois info,they said they can't help due they dont have old whois info.

    what shall i do? return the domains ? could it be the seller want to step back and take the domains+money or the story is true someone stole them and soldthem to another buyer, what todo in such situation ?

    Don't think you should return the domains without having positive evidence of who owns the domains. Put the two people in touch with one another and let them sort it out with the registrars involved. Don't see it as your responsibility to decide who has legal ownership of the domains.

    check whois history part..

    tried that, the oldest history they have is with the new owner info , doesn't go more

    their db is very old doesn't catch domains in between.

    what i wanted to know what can i do in such situation? leave the situation to registrar or take an action myself?

    If you take action yourself how will you know if you are assisting a thief or a victim?
    IMO it would be dangerous to take action without knowing who is right - they should discuss it with their registrar.
