| Guest | Funny TM story In the early 90's I trademarked a name for my authentication company in sports memoriablilia Some public company then registers my trademark for the same industry They offered me 100K for the name I created I told them it was not for sale and gave them a C&D They refused to give me the name, so I told them they would be sued in the court they set up for trademark disputes in europe I also told them once I sued them their stock would become worthless since they would be the first publicly traded company to have to DEFEND a cyber squatting case There stock went from 250M to around 50M when news of my suit hit the media hehe They then offerred to give me back my name if i signed an agreement to not sue them I told them to F off They eventually let the domain lapse and I had to then register it Now I'm suing them for all the emails i get from people about how they have a COA with my trademark on it that I didn't issue There lawyer should be disbarred for telling them they could file on top of my trademark at the USPTO |
