count me in, they damaged my entire forum - their backup system failed on virtual dedicated server, and they did not even apologize and blamed me for their backup system failure!

I've been getting increasingly frustrated with GoDaddy as well. Did anyone notice that they never really answer ANY questions in a thorough way? And any time I ask a "complex" question (really not that complex, like why isn't my favicon showing up?) they relegate it to their "specialists" which means that it won't be answered for at least a week or maybe never, and when those answers do come back they are totally worthless - the worst is when they feign ignorance or answer as if they didn't understand the question at all. And I'm still waiting for answers to a couple of questions I asked over a month ago. Basically, GoDaddy support is the worst I've ever seen anywhere.

Might as well add outrageously high renewal prices.....$19.99 for .us!!! Of course I was told that if I was part of their domain club I could get better prices but that cost money too.

Needless to say I will move all my .us domains from godaddy in the coming months.

I just had a round of correspondence with them where they went around in circles without addressing my real question (which I had to clarify multiple times)... and then they gave me a phone number to call. WOW.

And why do they keep addressing me as "Dear Sir or Madam" in the email when I sign everything as "Dave". As if they didn't piss me off enough.

email is the worst with godaddy - they dont respond with the correct answer, they keep forwarding you too FAQ pages/answers!

Phone call is always the best way.

They pulled this same kind of BS on me... I cant count the number of times I set my domains to UN-Locked or NOT Renew, only to find out days later my settings were returned to Locked and Auto Renew.

It was at time when I was transferreing most of them out.... It proved to be such a headache with that and other things, I no longer use them as a Registrar.

i had a requirement, call them up from India,
was on a hold for few minutes
a/c manager was helpful but not techful

after some stringent followups, in 3 days, i was told:
You buy 1 this , we will be able to do that for you!!!

is this a barter system?? i asked for the service which they promise and then they indirectly tryin to do this? at that time i was pissed , but then when we look for cheaper alternates, we have to compromise somewhere..

although the services are really not that bad as been projected, but yes support for these services sometimes kills !

As I wrote recently at my blog, GoDaddy is not the registrar of choice for domainers. For people that have small portfolios that won't go anywhere, it might be ok to have both registration and hosting under one hood. For doamainers, that's a no-no.

I got a super deal on a year's hosting there so I put a couple directories on the server to utilize a different ip... suddenly one day it didn't work. I started poking around and noticed every single file for the websites was set to 444! I asked how that happened and their support said I did it. I replied I would never do no such thing as it would disable the websites - they replied it was my fault because I had sent a support ticket asking why the server was slow! Worst support ever. Heck it would have been better if they just ignored the ticket!

I am ok with most of the features when my requirement is NOT BIG,
but with Hosting Panel's Domain Management ... NOPE!

As they say in there hosting plans, UNLIMITED DOMAINS AND SUBDOMAINS

Once you cross 70 domains , it will take ages to get through and add another

You all should award me when I say "I have about 400 domains in Single Hosting Account With GODADDY" !!

The trick is not to leave any funding source available like a saved credit card number, so they can't bill you automatically.
