    This ruling can also be seen in the favor of people who have typos or similar looking domains to other companies.

    Because when you park such domains, the issue 'of competitor ads appearing' is same as the one google won in this case.

    This geico trademark issue loss to google is a good step in the right direction for all domainsers I think.

    Some guy is really milking the case for all its worth... and costing himself a bunch of money in the process. Whatever floats his boat.

    It's a little premature to opine on the ruling, or how broad it may have been. As soon as the opinion is available, though, we'll get a better read on which issue was determined. This may have been a decision dismissing a motion for preliminary injunction, which doesn't have quite the same oomph that breathless press releases might indicate.
