I own a common person's name but its also multiple well known people

Hi, I know these always get the same type of reply. But This has a twist. I had a client who has a very common name. Lets say like JoeSmith.com. "not the real name" He dropped out about 3 years ago and I still own his.com B/C the name is so common is it easier to sell? Since there are 1,000,000 joe smith's out there. Should I offer it to the well known Joe Smiths? What is the safest game plan? Maybe contacting them. Saying hey would you be interested then see where it goes? Worst case I hand it over for something of value?

geneology site is good and generic...the 'for sale" option would get the domain sold
    more quickly.

The offer could be considered as registration in bad faith. I have similar name and there are actually several famous people with Wikipedia entry. One of those famous people lawyer approached me threatening I told him to GFY.

Well I usually do not consider making threats/blackmailing as "doing business". Besides selling domains is not my business plan, I sell only if someone offers me crazy enough price or some another perks. If the guy (B-class actor) have approached me directly, not via his lawyer, he could have had the domain for free - he lives in LA so just photo with me would do. This way he paid lawyer probably $1K and has no domain and will not have the domain.

You never know... he might like that...

Nick Young’s current domain is <nickyoungxxx.com> which is used as a review and content blog site for fans and consumers. It provides reviews of Movies, Webcam Models, Porn Stars and Sites as well as video content and makes recommendations for services such as Movie Retailers, Cam Sites, Dating Sites, VOD sites, etc.

    ...

The name “Nick Young” is not inherently distinctive which was the reason why the name was selected among a batch of expiring and abandoned names for registration and use by the Respondent. The following examples illustrate this.

The name “Nick Young” is used by:
    - NBA Washington Wizards basketball player Nick Young (whose career
    apparently began in 2007)
    - CBS broadcast journalist Nick Young
    - Newbury College lecturer Nick Young
    - An acoustic guitarist for “Nick Young and the Beautiful People”
